Serene and beautiful, this place is worth a stop to inspire your dreams. Have lunch outside under the magnificent oaks, stand in awe beside the roaming peacocks, and wonder how you can surround yourself back home with the calm of these gardens.

Heaven manifested on Earth, amazingly caring people, such good energy, incredibly sculpted gardens, spectacular trees, coo eastern pieces, delicious restaurant, interesting story, and the absolute best most comfortable Southern seating on the porch, with a variety of birds thrown in for good measure, a must do experience

This place was beautiful! You can take your time strolling through the gardens and then go on the home tour whenever you want, on the hour. Loved seeing and interacting with all the animals! Peacocks, doves, different types of birds, and a cat. Make sure to eat at the cafe too!

My husband and I visited the Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia for a quick getaway for my birthday. It was early spring and there was a recent freeze, so many of the plants were cut back. It is a beautiful property. I highly recommend the house tour. It was really interesting. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the cafe. It was a great experience overall and I would recommend it to all of my friends and family.

Good morning Tina! We do have multiple benches a along the path! We suggest you bring some water, and sit when needed! Thank you for asking and we hope to see you soon!
The garden itself, you walk through it. You can also take a tour of the beautiful home that is on sight. Expect to be at the garden for a few hours if you walk the entire grounds. Trust me, it's worth it.
No, sorry but they do not have golf carts for visitors. You can bring your own wheelchair, and yes wheelchairs are allowed in the house for the house tour
I didn't see any signs either. Inam guessing that it is not allowed in the gardens.
