Recent rains have greened everything up a bit. Typically a great desert escape. Out of towners may struggle with the altitude. Be aware of your surroundings, snakes and tarantulas are frequent, plus the cacti, bugs, and occasional speedy bicyclist.

Nice place to go for a hike. Access ME trail from Bear Canyon trail. Wildlife.. from deer to bobcats to snakes...can be seen here during certain times of the day and certain times of the season.... proper hiking shoes is a must!!!

This is an absolutely lovely trail. It hugs the mountain and offers many different views. I recommend that you get here early just to watch the sun shine on the mountain.
