Great place. The kids had fun.
Pros:
- friendly staff
- reasonably priced food & snacks
- adequately sized sitting area
Cons:
- they ran out of balancing bars for learner skaters
- the food & drink options are limited
- some of the plastic tables and benches were unstable & flimsy and caused the kids to fall

We had a wonderful experience. The staff was very kind and helpful and the kids had the best time! My only issue would be birthday party check in should probably have two people helping if several parties are planned or maybe allow birthday parties to enter early to get situated. But overall great experience.
We have added public skating sessions. Please check our website greatskateglendale.com or our Facebook page for our hours. We look forward to seeing you soon
Called 11 times nobody answered once. Trying to buy tickets online but their website doesn’t seem to have an option for that unless they are having an event. Last week we tried going and was told it was full and we have to buy tickets in advance lol

Yea they only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday only. You'll have to call to make sure they're good to open
You can bring your own skates. Speed skates, roller blades, etc. Not sure you can bring skates with the same wheels that are used on street surfaces. I would call during business hours & ask. The staff is friendly & helpful.
It depends on their schedule for the day. If you go to their website and click on schedule then find the day you plan on going, it will tell you what event is going on, how much it will cost, and the time frame it lasts for
I want to ask no any one that has been there on Sunday night, is it like CASCADE ? Does it get bumping with hip hop? Turned up per say? Or is it just a bunch of toddler skaters?
Does anyone remember the old location at Cave Creek and Greenway around 1995? Trying to prove that location existed to someone...

Shadow mountain skate rink! We used to go there for class trips. Last I saw it was torn down and made into a charter school.
I have a few questions
1) Do they accept debit, or is it cash only?
2) Can you bring water inside the establishment?
3) Are minors able do go without a chaperone?

Yes you can. Usually on a wed or Thurs evening or sometimes week days , from my past knowledge there's a 100 person minimum but you don't have to have 100 people show up just pay for that in the past it worked out to 5.00 a person but if you were doing a fundraiser they would only take 3.50 a person and give you 1.50 . But that may have changed . Best would be to call the office m thru Fri 9 am to 4pm .. good luck
No, not tonight. Monday and Wednesday* are dollar nights. The full schedule is here http://www.unitedskates.com/public/glendale/schedule/weekly-schedule/index.cfm
How much would it be for a Saturday? With about 4, 13-14 year olds?

10am-12:30pm $7.00
1pm-3:30pm $10.00
4:30pm-7pm $10.00
8pm-10:30pm$10.00
Rentals $4.00/$4.50
Children are pretty much allowed to experiment on their own as long as they follow the posted rules. There are no tests etc to determine if a child is ready. They usually have staff that skate around helping kids out that have problems or seem dangerous.
I believe 830pm on weekdays. We had a school event. First come first serve for those wheel things that help kids to hold onto if they cant skate. I like that it's not music loud. You can actually have a conversation and hear yourself.
It is skate at you own risk... But for my little one, we stay towards the center of the rink and most everyone is very nice and skate all around us. fyi- I have a 4 yr old.. Monday's are $1 admission too
Yes adults still have to pay to get in. I think it's a little since cause you would think they want the parents there with the kids. I have seen people drop kids off but they were older like 12-13
Yes you can stay during the. session times posted such as 3:30-7:00 etc. Check each day for the session you would like to skate. If you use Google just ask for the hours of that day.
Quad skates are 3.50 and inlines are 4.50. Admission varies. Call or look at their website and go to schedule. It will have different prices for different events, times, and days.
They typically play top 40 music. Early sessions on weekends tend to be more family friendly and they have specialty nights where we play country, hip hop, old school, 80s, etc.
Avoiding the roller skate fee will definitely help your wallet, of course the only way to manage this, is by owning a pair of skates and making the cashier aware of it... 👁🗨
