Very active dog park, there is a hose for wash station, also someone left a kiddy pool there for the pups to play in

This is a fantastic dog park in both park and people. The park, especially for big dogs, is huge. Lots of room for dogs to both engage and separate. The owners stay involved, keeping an eye on the dogs, cleaning up after them. And almost all the owners clearly work with their dogs in training and obedience. Plus, they are just a social bunch. It's a great place for dogs and people. Five stars! (I'm not local, go here with our dogs when we visit my parents in the area.)

Be sure to bring a dog horn. Mostly locals. A few rotten apples who are unaware of their dogs biting habits. Nice coffee club @ 5 AM. Dog pools and very LARGE running area. Small dog park too.

Questions & Answers

What is the yellow stuff sprayed on the grass?

Answering my own question, just talked to someone at Town Hall, the yellow spray on the grass is glyphosate and pre-emergent herbicide. Disappointing.

What day of the week and time is the dog park closed for cleaning?

How come they got to a dog park close in Fountain Hills for work and I just come from there there no one there working why do they need that many days to do nothing

They have removed all of the light poles and are making repairs to the bases that were damaged when the poles came down earlier this year. My understanding is they will be delivering poles and other materials to start assembly of the new light fixtures. They are trying to get the work done more quickly than the 2 weeks they have posted but can't have people and animals, for liability reasons, in the park during the work. Another off-leash park you may want to use in the meantime is Quail Run Park off Greenfield and loop 202 in Mesa. Or if you want to stay closer to home there are several on-leash parks where you can walk your dog here such as Fountain Park, Four Peaks, or Golden Eagle.
