There is one lady with black glasses and a low bun who wears a blue shirt that has her name tag in her back pocket that has shown excessive rudeness and exhibited racist snide comments to Hispanic customers. I have had two incidents with her: first time having her berate my husband for our infants backpack and the second today when I went in for milk. The first time she argued with my husband about the contents of our son’s backpack, claiming we were stealing food. We explained to her that the security let us in with my son’s backpack as we let him know that it is with his diaper, bottles of milk, and clothing to get him changed. When we offered to show her the backpack she replied with a disgusted tone “I am not going to check your backpack. Stop arguing with me”. Why make such a claim and not check the bag when you know there will be nothing but baby items in the first place? Her comments referring to my husband as being defensive also was referring to him as someone who would steal, my husband being much darker than I am and he was alone with our child in the yogurt/cheese section. The second time today I placed my groceries to get paid and once the young cashier started to hand me my items to put in my carts she came up to bag my items. (There was no bagger when I was getting my things scanned.) I had placed my 3 gallons of milk to my cart as I waited for the rest of the items and she goes with a rude tone of “did she pay for those milk?” As my cashier was taking my WIC and card payment. I looked at her shocked and disturbed that she would make such a comment as I WAS PAYING. Mind you- receipts don’t print if you haven’t paid in full. As my receipt printed the cashier just looked at this woman with complete annoyance and this woman simply walked away. No apologies or acknowledgement of how stupid and ignorant her comment was. This woman is an example of rude, unapologetic attitudes that make anyone feel uncomfortable and unsafe. If she had taken time to kindly ask to check our backpack or wait until my receipt was printed, this would be a different situation. But it’s not. She needs to be fired.
