Great place for great weather.

Huge park with many great spots for photos and especially during sunset hour. Large walking area with water ways, ducks and turtles picnic tables and benches. There is also an outside free theater where they have performances and live music. Great place for kids to play. It is in close proximity to the Houston zoo, museums, and the Japanese Garden,so there are loads of fun activities to do. I highly suggest going on a week day if you want to get a parking weekends are packed. Or if you go on the weekend go after the zoo closes then there is usually more parking.

Yes there's many beautiful areas there
I don't think so check with the park rangers the easiest way to probably reach them is to call the zoo
Yes! My grandson 1st birthday party was held there.
Well I'd ask them first. They are very picky and quite demanding. Being Houston ducks they prefer brisket and white bread. Last time I was there there was this real quack who thought he was king duck but smelled quite fowl.
Absolutely! They're website https://www.hermannpark.org/faqs/ states: Are dogs allowed in Hermann Park? Dogs are allowed on a leash only. There are no off-leash areas. All city municipal codes pertaining to dogs must be followed, including cleaning up after them. No pets are allowed on the Hermann Park train, pedal boats, in the Zoo or any buildings (except for service dogs). Have a great time!
The best place to have the picnic is by the lawn theater, right infront of the natural science museum. U have alot of space to play or to do roll down the hill. Another nice area to eat is by the water fall where the trees are at. And the statue is. Nice place.
Hermann Park doesn't have kyaking. They have Peddle Boats in the lagoon. The cost is $11 per boat for 30 minutes. Boats accommodate up to four people.
Yes
Depends on if you want to get punished for solicitation or not, I fortunately saw a sign demanding permits for photography before I started taking pictures at Cherie Flores pavilion.
Pretty sure they'd shut it down. There's a sign that more or less says only non commercial photography allowed
if you're doing Houston Bcycle here's the link for the prices https://www.houstonbcycle.com/
Only on Monday's, but you have to bring a turtle to exchange!
There are free picnic tables, but they are not covered. You can bring an ez up and put it over the tables.
Parking cost money depending on where you park but the park is completely free.
It costs approximately 24 Dolores plus taxes. Due to Covid 19 you can only pay with a credit or debit card.
It's free On 1st Tuesday of each month 12pm to 6pm. All other days it cost nearly 20$ Es gratis el primer martes de cada mes de 12 p.m. a 6 p.m. Todos los demás días cuestan casi 20 $
You can use your bicycle , it's not too huge so u can explore yourself easily
Yes, they have nice gravel trails and some side walks. Not sure if riding on the sidewalks is kosher
Yes, but I mean it's kind of small. Literally a square, and the fountains for it don't spew that much water. Plus there are benches for people walking to sit and it's kind of weird to be surrounded by people while you try to have fun.
Yes, but there are also bbq pits near picnic tables in the park
No, entrance is free. Ticket is for activities and it's cheap too
Yes there is a place near water play area. I have seen birthday parties. But i am not sure whether you need to book or something.
The zoo parking is free as well as two other parking lots. The other lots are limited to two hour parking though. Street parking is available but it is metered as well. You can take the metro train right to the sunset station on fannin and be at the park.
I think it'll be not a problem, but you need to invite me cause I am a great fan of MJ! Woooooooh...
If you are asking about the shows then the answer is that tickers are free. You can get them @ the window an hour before the show or few hours before. The window hours are available on the website
The important thing about the park is just to admire it and sport, it can be done but you shouldn't, that's specific to each person if you decide to do it
I've been told to never feed ducks bread. We feed them corn, deer feed, as it's much healthier for them.
Not to live in it. You might for a quick celebration but not to move in with all your furniture and pets.
Call and check with them first. They are doing everything by appointment
Im not sure, but there are restrooms by the train station and paddle boats that should be open.
No fishing going on at the park but it have quite a few lakes& Galveston Island 45 minutes South of Houston off of Hwy 45. It has a theater at the park, peddle boats,& things like that. Few homeless guys about but they are harmless. Security is on site as well so don't alarm when you see people from every walk of life cross your path.
3 maybe. Or a little more.
I don't know exactly his park hours. But it is a very nice place to go for a walk, ride a bike or have a good time with your family. Sure keeping the proper precautions that are being lived these days. .
Definitely yes, . Not sure if you need to sit at a table . But, plenty of informal seeting on benches in the Japanese garden or on benches around the obelisk fountain
I don't believe there are volleyball courts there.
It's free. I'm sure you can make donations thru various groups that volunteer in various gardens and areas
No there's no fireworks inside the Houston city limits.
There is a train station near the main entrance to the zoo.
No. The Ticket is about 4 dolars a ride.
Its at the same place you get the tickets for the train. The build that's looks like a gift store by the parking area.
Im not sure but there are map markers all over the place that will show you. You might be able to find it if you zoom in on the maps.
You can go to the zoo, its inside the park. If you choose not to go to the zoo you can see Turtles fish docks And scrolls.
Between miller outdoor theater and the zoo, there are picnic tables and grills.
I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem if it's not a whole wedding party. It's a large park with lots of picturesque places. It always seems to me, if you're respectful of the park and other people the rangers are respectful in return
I work Sercuity there u need to get in contact with park management. They can tell u more information about the question
With in the zoo, inside the park it offers many pavilions where you can conduct your events. As far as I know the pricing starts a $400. Rental. Now you can get more info at Houston Zoo Pavillion rental. There's a lot of info. I hope these helps good luck.
It is all open. The closing refers to thing such as the train. Enjoy
It's free no need for booking or any tickets, it's great for outdoor activities. However I think you need tickets for peddle boat's.
It is actually recommended..all over the park, there are places where you can just put a blanket and have a picnic or use the available picnic tables.
Not bread. From Mother Nature Network: So, if you still feel compelled to feed your local ducks, try these instead of bread: Corn (canned, frozen or fresh) Duck pellets (sold online and at pet stores) Lettuce, other greens (torn into small pieces) Frozen peas (defrosted) Oats (rolled or instant) Seeds (including birdseed or other varieties)
No
Not in the main portion of the park at least. There are restrooms in the Japanese Gardens, but that is a gated portion of the park and is sometimes closed. There are uncovered picnic tables and benches scattered around. The Carruth playground does have a pavillion for parties. Check out the info through this link. You can also find an interactive map of the park with more information. https://www.hermannpark.org/poi/10/
They aren't allowed.
Yes the park is free and open to the public, as is the parking. You can park in the parking lot by the zoo and there is also parking by the garden
No translate button, I hope you enjoyed the park, very relaxing place to go while my daughter was getting treatment at MD Anderson.
Yes
ID. They provide life jackets. Water is not deep.
Fishing is only for kids 12 and under and adults 65 and older. I don't think you can keep the fish either, but not sure on that.
Yes
No.But Judson Robinson Community Center has one. Its down the street from Park on 2020 Hermann Dr.
You can go online to the Miller outdoor theater web page and look for their schedule. They usually have a calendar with activities for each month.
No now
Probably not unless you want to use the Japanese garden or take up a while section of the park.
That was the Japan Festival 2 weeks ago. There isn't anything scheduled for tomorrow.
Nothing Really. You can go and enjoy the park but no events on Memorial Day. Only Story Time for kids on the 25th.
I'm sure that you could reserve a certain area of the park. Or just get there early and claim it. If you set up, where you want, I'm sure it'll be fine. As long as you're not trying to claim the whole play ground area. And I don't think they will close that for a party.
Yes, Hermann Park always have activities ready for all the outdoor activists including an 18 hole golf course which will occupy the entire day if you play all holes. You and family can take an adventure on the park's train and ride around the entire park to view the scene or people watch. Also, the Museum of Natural Science will bring you closer to the universe with its mechanical and science Adventures. Finally the park has a zoo where you and family could sit back and enjoy the adventures with the animal kingdom view the different animals and learn more about these animals .
