Our concert was cancelled and they never bothered to tell us! Thankfully we happened to find out somewhere else online before driving 3 hours to see it. Otherwise we would have arrived the night of and been sorely disappointed. Sure enough, they refunded the tickets a month ago, but never bothered to email or call or anything.

That depends on the show... Most people come in business casual for the most part. However, some enjoy dressing in formal gowns for their night out to the theater.
