I had a really great experience with this practice until I got Covid. I came down with Long Covid and was completely disregarded. They wouldn't resubmit my appointments as Covid once the code came out. I paid hundreds of extra dollars than I needed to because they wouldn't recode. The nurses and office admin were very unprofessional and unhelpful. I was finally able to get into UNC's Long Covid Clinic and started going to another GP, and I've been able to get my symptoms under control, but I am still sick with Long Covid. I have considered suing for malpractice, it was that bad and I know others in the clinic who have done the same and won.

Community Family Practice has been my primary care provider since I moved back to the area in 2018. Every doctor I’ve seen in this practice has been kind, compassionate, made me feel heard, and provided reasonable and thoughtful advice. Every time I’ve had an immediate need, they’ve fit me in the same day. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. Everyone’s experience is different, but I’ve experienced nothing but excellent care from the folks here.

Their call system is shameful. You can wait 30 minutes on hold and when you finally get dialed through, the phone call is rejected. This happened 3 times in a row for me. They are clearly understaffed or overwhelmed and need to address the issue ASAP. I see other folks have experienced this as well. Experts say stress is the cause of most illness— well, it’s kinda counterintuitive to seek health care here.

I am very disappointed by the staff....Even, if doctors are good, the staff makes the difference. 5 days ago, I dropped a document for my insurance company that the doctor had to sign. The front desk was going to call me as soon as the document is signed. 2 days later, the document was lost. I gave them another paper for the doctor insisting of the urgency of the document and once again, after 2 days of waiting, nothing was done. What should I do to ask people to do their job ? I am so frustrated.

We do not have Xray equipment in our office, however we do have good working relationships with a variety of imaging resources in our community.
