I inquired about equipment, I was told the auction had ended, I advised the owner it might be a good idea to remove old listings to clear up an confusion. He (she) then proceeded to call me a loser and a joke! Steer clear of the business they’re so unprofessional it’s unbelievable!

Spent a sizeable amount on a few pieces of restaurant equipment and was extremely disappointed. I've bid/won a number of auctions from real estate to eBay to Ritchie Bros. construction equipment auctions and have a clear understanding of "as is". My main problem with this bunch is the pictures they post and their descriptions. At first I thought that maybe they just didn't have a very good camera. Why in the world it didn't strike me that if they're in the auction business that they should buy a better camera is beyond me. I guess I try not to think the worst in people but was a huge mistake with these guys. The pictures were intentionally low res, blurry or out of focus. They were taken intentionally from angles to hide broken trim pieces, casters, entire housing for juicer, etc. I STRONGLY suggest that you either go look at what you're bidding on in person or specifically request normal, in focus, not grainy pics and ask for multiple angles. There is a reason that they take the bare minimum of pics in my opinion. Another thing that I find curious is how many of my auctions went all the way up to my high bid and then stopped, allowing me to "win" the auction. I've included a few screen shots of the coincidental high bid's. May be a sincere coincidence but I find it very curious. Overall the worst experience with an online auction in my life so I strongly recommend that you do not bid or do business with these guys. Period. P.S.- Go look at the reviews on Google, the name that gives repeated 5 star reviews, Curtis VanBrocklin, is the owner of Texas Restaurant Equipment Auction according to their business card. He seems to think highly of his company judging by his reviews. Just shady....

We had a great experience at TREA. Andrew and Raphael were amazing and very helpful. Thank you both for assisting us, answering all our questions, and being patient + understanding. We will definitely go through them in the future whenever we need something for our restaurant.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased 2 coolers and a freezer. Cooler 1: came with two 2inch piped holes in the side, which I had to stuff towels into, and a rigged thermometer. Cooler 2: Within 2 months I had to place one of the cords that plugs in to the wall because it started sparking. Freezer: completely dried within 6 months. Then a rep Andrew contacted me to see if I still needed more refrigeration. I explained what happened and he did not even apologize for the aweful product he sold me, in fact he just went on to say they now sell brand new refrigeration with warranties if I was interested... wow, why would anyone choose to support someone after an experience like that? I didn't write a review when I recieved terrible product, but this makes me feel like I need to put it out there to warn people from being taken advantage of. I dont experience scummy things like this often.
