Fun caves saw many ages there

Wonderful cave formations shown to us by our guide Morgan. She was witty and fun even with small kids. The dripstone in this cave is textbook. Almost all cave features were present from cave bacon to soda straws to flows. Many are still active 50 thousand years later. Interesting historical background. WARNING the path up to the cave has two small sections of fairly steep hill. There are parts of the tour where even a 5 foot 5 person will have to stoop. My six foot tall husband banged his head twice. Even with this warning the cave is a perfect beginner cave for old and young alike.

Pretty cool! Like Carlsbad Caverns, but much, much smaller. Staff was great!

The caverns in Sequoia were closed so we decided to check out Boyden. It was only $16 per adult, the man running the shop, where you purchase tickets was extremely accommodating and friendly. The cavern guide was both quirky and friendly, she made the tour so much fun. Be warned, you do need to walk up a fairly steep path to get to the entrance of the cavern. So get there a little earlier if you need more time to climb. The path through the cavern can be a little clumsy for those who are older or little unstable as ceilings are low and walk path uneven (is it a natural cavern). The history of the cavern is very interesting, I definitely recommend if in the area.
