Spent 8 months here, the office lady's were regularly rude or clueless, 8 times out of 10 my electric bill was messed up, never returned calls, lots of noise all times, between the smokers outside and trucks unloading next door and just noisy residents..im not a trouble maker, I finally got fed up and left...lots of sketchy people here, if you enjoy that and lots of smells of smoke this is the place for you.

I'm a resident here at the Rolla Towers, and everyone is nice and I have a nice apartment.

Questions & Answers

Do they do online applications because of covid?

Laura Manogue | Oct 26, 2020

No, you have to come to the Towers. HUD office is right inside the door in the front. They will have you fill out an application. Your rent is determined by your income. There is a waiting period for an opening.

How long does it take to get a 2 or 3 bedroom on average?

Rolla Housing Authority | Oct 26, 2020

It takes about 3 to 5 months to get a 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom Public Housing duplex, and about 30 months for a voucher. Your place on the waiting list is determined by when we receive your completed application. This varies by how many units become available at any particular time.

We have two programs: public housing where we own the units; and Housing Choice Vouchers where we subsidize you in a privately owned rental unit. You can pick up an application that works for both programs at the Rolla Towers office. Once the completed application is returned and approved, you would be placed on both waiting lists. We give priority placement to people over 50, veterans, working families, or those who are disabled. If this doesn't answer your question, please stop by or call the Rolla Housing Authority at 573-364-6460.
