We were looking for a place to relax with our accumulated Marriott rewards. Since we were staying for 2 nights, the Check In Desk chose a 3rd floor Roof Facing room. My gut feeling is that it was a free room and we should take whatever... so that definitely doesn't bode well with me. The floor is laminate/ wood, but to me sticky. I wish I brought house slippers with me. There is no complimentary water. The bathroom toilet roll holder was crooked, loose and definitely not attached correctly. The rooms are noisy since the hallways noises filter in and you can hear kids in the hallways. We were close to the ice and elevators and that may account for the noise level. The fridge was ok, just wonky shelves. The first day was rainy, so we stayed in except to go out to Mr. Crabs and dine on seafood. They did provide a toothbrush because we forgot to pack one, and extra towels. We were told upfront that they do not do housekeeping on 2 night stays. We visited the Aquarium and the Seaport Museum, and a second visit to Mr. Crabs, we love our seafood. We lost our room card and the front desk clerk gave us a new cards and deactivated the previous card. That was good service we hadn't had from the front desk.. On the 3rd day, we asked for a late checkout and was able to check out at 1pm. They just told us to re-swipe our cards and that went very well with much friendlier front desk staff, I must have had someone who shouldn't be in service industry that first day. We enjoyed the pool, the hotel was large to walk around, and we were happy with the hotel in general. It's the first impression that sticks and that check in desk gave us a bad vibe that lingered on our short visit.

Marriott hotels have been my and my husband’s preferred hotel until our stay at this hotel. The room is cosmetically appealing - contemporary design - but the floor is tile with no area rug, which feels feels cold and institutional. It is definitely lacking the comfort level we have found during our stay at other Marriott hotels. Because of the flooring, I must wear slippers or shoes at all times while in the room. There is a sofa for which we have no use; we prefer a table and chairs. Therefore, having dinner in our room was awkward. Room service was a joke! The staff was friendly and hospitable, but our meal was delivered in a paper bag!! The Marriott chain clearly states their commitment to the environment on the hotel homepage on the TV in our room, but dinner was delivered in plastic containers with water in plastic bottles. Very hypocritical!! Food was just okay. I had the salmon which was not great, but I was pleased that was not too dry. However, my husband’s turkey club was delicious! The room service menu is limited and very basic, and they do not offer complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. There is a Starbucks in the lobby at which you can purchase coffee, but they don’t open until 7:00 am. We will never stay at this hotel location again. Quite honestly, because of our experience staying at this hotel, we will begin to look into other hotel options in the future instead of looking for a Marriott hotel first. I am very glad that we have only one more night to stay in this very uncomfortable room/environment.

I went here for a work function my room was on a corner which was beautiful I loved the way that it was decorated very clean very new very updated. The food for a work function was very basic but very good. I was a little confused and that the lunch seemed more like a dinner and it did or seemed more like a lunch in terms of the choices but that was probably not on them :-) they did a great job with supplying us with water and coffee and snacks during our event. The only criticism I have to maybe give is that the bar closes a bit early but otherwise we had a great time

The conference center and other public spaces were clean, modern, and nicely done. The rooms were also clean and newly furnished. Sadly, the rooms employ several terrible trends that are already dated. Why, why, WHY did anyone every think to make the bathroom door a sliding barn door with frosted glass? This affords no privacy, and ensures that you will wake your spouse up if your turn on the light when you get up to pee at 2am. It's a terrible idea! I was also really surprised that the floors of the room were tile rather than carpeted. I guess this is more sanitary and easier to clean, but it gave the room a very institutional feel that was akin to a hospital or dorm room - certainly not the vibe I would expect at this price point. The ability to sign into your own Netflix or YouTube on the TV was nice, although I didn't take advantage of this. I also really appreciated that the bed was comfortable and I was able to get a good night's sleep.
