Thank you to the helpful and friendly staff for a clean, organized recycling center! A huge benefit for Springfield.

Yes.
No. They do not take Lumber, only Tree limbs. The tree limbs must be also be within a certain size diameter, and less than 4 feet long. Also, no trailers allowed, only what you can carry in the back of a car/truck/suv. If you have a trailer of limbs or leaves, you'll need to take it to the Yard Waste Recycling Center on the Southwest side of town.
Website says yes
Yes
No, you don't have to be a Springfield resident.
No. It is a recycling center. You must bring your garbage to the city landfill. Call them first.
Not at Lone Pine. Construction Waste and Debris are accepted at the landfill. The fees for Construction Waste is published on the website.
15 dollars apiece,no matter what size
If I am correct, all of the ground is paved. However, the openings to the collection bins are very high up. I'm sure there are probably employees (or other people) who would be willing to help. I would suggest calling.
No they don't, that's the "Computer Recycling Center", which only charges for a few items. ComputerRecyclingCenter.com has details
They recycle both paper/pasteboard and cardboard. So I'm sure they would accept them, maybe you would need to remove hard covers from the pages? (But assuming these are full color glossy pages bound with fancy covers, I would personally just trash them; I'll no expert but that doesn't fit my mental profile of recyclable paper.)
This place doesnt accept toys and things like this. You might try Red Racks or similar places like that. Maybe Goodwill even?
I'm not sure you can call them to find out
This is only for recyclables. For a couch you'll need to go to the dump or the waste transfer station, off of Kansas Expy, north of Sunshine.
Yes
No
No. They do not take porcelain.
Yes they do as along as there are no medications left in them.
It's my understanding that mattresses cost $15 to drop off. I do not know if that cost is considered a donation or a removal fee.
f they'll fit in the dumpsters and are plastic, I'd say, yes.
They do not
No, You need to take used needles to a Medical office with a sharps disposal.
they do not but there are a few electronics recycling places in springfield. try complete electronics recycling on west chestnut or computer recycling center on north prince lane.
No, I would suggest electronic recycling centers.
Paul, The people who work at the recycling centers are very nice and they have always given me permission to take anything I have found there that I liked free of charge. Just go over there and ask them, but they won't do it for you.
Not for cash. They have a lawn/leaf recycling bin, though, that probably accepts them as refuse.
No, this is strictly recycling. The city of Springfield has a separate household chemical collecting center. https://www.springfieldmo.gov/478/Household-Chemical-Collection-Center
No
No, I don't believe that construction materials can be recycled there.
If I'm correct they only take single pane, and just the glass. I'm not sure if there are other places that would take the though.
$15 for mattresses don't know about box springs
There are not any bins for textiles. I don't work there but I don't believe they provide receipts. It's a mostly free place to dispose of recyclable materials like cardboard, plastics, glass. They accept some yard waste for a small fee.
Nothing as large as a gas stove. They take smaller scrap steel in the "tin cans" bin. You'd have to separate any non-steel parts from the stove, and also cut the steel into small pieces to fit in the bins. You're much better off taking it to a scrap steel place and get a few bucks for it.
Probably the scr transfer station on the wood. You will have to pay and they charge by weight.
Ashley is correct, they do not recycle electronics of any kind. Computer Recycling Center takes most everything electronics related though.
It's a city-funded recycling center. It's just a place to take your recyclables. They don't sell anything.
I dont believe they take yard equipment there. They do take some yard waste like grass clipping, leaves, and small brush.
No. But there is a small appliances repair shop on West Bypass just south of Sunshine on the west side of West Bypass they talk them for free. There good people.
Habitat for Humanity may possibly have some.
No. They accept glass free of charge, but do not pay people for it.
Check for the little "recyclable" sign on all plastics. I don't think you can recycle CD's because the shiny part is aluminum and there is no way to separate that from the plastic.
