If it's not the rude people at the front, it could have been the Information Clerk staring at his phone for 1 MINUTE AND NOT EVEN LOOKING UP FROM HIS PHONE. And then he didn't even know where to send us for name change verification. The real honest to god rudeness came from the Clerk of Court third window down who screamed at us to go to the other two windows when we just asked which one. "They both do the same thing!!!!" It was unprofessional, ridiculous and if I was a lesser person I would have asked for a supervisor. But I'm not, so just note that if I didn't have a fiance and a daughter to care for, this place was enough to make me rethink Springfield as a place to live. But as my granny said, Water Off a Ducks back.

Restaining orders are for family or domestic matters. Not civil
Request it at the circuit clerk's office on the 2nd floor of the Greene Co Judicial Center, 1010 Boonville. If you need a certified copy, there's a small fee. Also a "per page" copy fee. Bring some small bills with you.
You may be able to call and speak with the clerk, or can go to the 2nf floor and inquire in person. You may also be able to use Missouri Casenet.
