Most local bike shops do not buy used. Use CL or FB marketplace.
Really nice used bikes in that range. New bikes are high end quality bikes like Bianchi and Specialized.
They have to look at it to give you an estimate
They fix all brand. I brought an old diamondback for tune up. They only fix what needs fixing and won't charge you un necessary stuff.
