Not a place you would want to see your loved ones. I was in there for seven months and was physically assaulted by a Therapeutic Program Worker named Devin on unit A in April of 2017. Verbal abuse is also common, for no apparent reason. It seems as though the workers there try to strike fear in the heart of the Inmates/Clients out of fear that if they don't they will be overcame by the patients/inmates. There are good people/workers there but they are a small minority, 1 in 15 I would say are good to Ok. The instructors were good. Contrary to what happened in most of the hospital when I got to Unit I with Dr. Manava, Dr. Epi, and Ligia they treated me like I was the biggest and best thing ever. Anybody leaving five stars most likely works there

I am not going to trash talk this agency because I'm hoping my experience isn't representation of the whole unit but I will say that my experience has not been a good one in trying to contact people on the phone, particularly my son's social worker. Called four times for over a month no response until I called the supervisor. And then when she called me back, she was rude. It's stressful and scary when you have a love one with mental illness. The last thing you need is to treated with a lack of compassion and concern. Makes me wonder how my son is being treated. I have received more help from the security guard. They do answer their phone. . They were kind compassionate and provided comforting information. Which is all I needed.

All details of a patient's history and disposition are strictly confidential. There's really no way to get an average. Some are there for months, some for years.
Yes
Call your son's social worker. Or just call the main line and ask to speak to the unit manager. It's super easy, barely an inconvenience! 😉
Hello if you're applying for a job its on line and if you're trying to get admitted its a different process

This is mental health facility but you must be referred by a provider or court. If admitted, it does accept Medicaid. Please find a list of other mental health providers by using the menu and search on the right side of this web page: https://mha.ohio.gov/Families-Children-and-Adults/Get-Help/Find-Mental-Health-Service-Providers
