Do not allow yourself or anyone you love to come here! I checked myself in because I had thoughts of suicide. The meds they gave me mak me very dizzy and after the first night I asked the nurse if that could be because of my meds. She lied to me and said no when it’s one of the first things listed as possible side-effects. Instead, she increased the dosage and said the dizziness would fade. It never did and they discharged me knowing how badly it affected me. I was checked in with high blood sugar and they NEVER checked it beyond intake. I was there three days before getting any medication. The food is very unhealthy, mostly carbohydrates and excessive salt. Individual dietary requirements were ignored. Most of the techs were kind and caring, but some were rude. The “social worker” is a joke; I was to have met with her on a Monday but she didn’t get to me until late afternoon Tuesday. She was supposed to meet with me Thursday and didn’t come along until Friday when she and the nurse who had lied to me said I was being discharged that day with no plan in place. I didn’t have a plan because I didn’t have notice and they assumed that since I was trying to be social I must be fine. Several patients need greater care than they receive and it falls on the other patients to watch out for them. I stopped a woman who was eating old banana peels she’d found in the garbage. Another time she tipped back the community kool-aid pitcher and drank from it. The staff is often too busy playing, talking, watching TV or using their phones to know what the patients are doing. Please do NOT send anyone here, and if the gods are paying attention they will either completely restaff EVERYONE (except for Christina, Monica, Colin, and Mary) or close this facility.

I would give NEGATIVE STARS. Horrible place. No family involvement. No follow through with patient. Never returned calls. Never spoke with family. I would never recommend. I am in shock that this place is even in business. Only bright light - the woman at the front desk.

If you have a choice do not let your loved one go here. My son was transferred here from another hospital. It was nothing short of a nightmare. There is little to no communication with these people. You are constantly left to worry what is going on. If you didn't have issues before, you will with this place. Staff is rude and does not care. Upon discharge the door was opened and my son was sent home. No one talked to us. Just sent on our way. This place needs shut down. Not helpful at all.

If you or someone else is seeking inpatient mental health treatment, please do some research before coming here. There were so many wrongs outweighing pthe good, it's amazing they're even open. I wasn't impressed by the food. It was very unappetizing. Let alone, I fought the kitchen staff on a daily basis, just get something healthy to eat. There's no registered dietician on staff to help plan menus. Thank God for Ensure. I'd starve without those. Some of the staff rocked it. Meme, Mary, Colin "Colin off", Alex and Zach literally would go the extra mile to do what ever, made their patients comfortable. Elliott, thank you for warm welcoming. I appreciate you more then you ever know. Dr. Kahn.. you literally gave me my life back. I went from my lowest point ever in my mental health. Never again. As for the nursing staff, there were a few kind ones, but Tomeka and Kate touched my heart. Night shift needs to stop giving meds at 8:00p.m., so they can sit behind the desk all night socializing. Many a night, there was no night checks done....
