Not a place for 4c hair care/ concern. Just look at their pictures to see what styles they are proud of doing. Don’t be fooled cuz you see one of ‘em with locs. Only reason they get two stars ⭐️ is b/c they did ok w/ my hair color. Update: they offered to straighten my hair. I didn’t ask but like I said that tells you all you need to know how they view our hair. Not a place for 4c hair care/ concern!

I’m always nervous about going to hair stylist because I’ve had pretty bad experiences, from over processing, to burning my hair out. It has been nerve wracking finding someone who can handle my insane mane. I have extremely dry, frizzy, coily hair. It’s also damages very quickly. I wanted a BKT because I was a bridesmaid and needed my hair to be more manageable for that day. I decided to schedule an appointment with Essence VIP. They slayed my hair. My haircut was super cute too. My hair is still pretty manageable. I just put moisturizer and serum in it and blow dry it with the diffuser. I need to go back soon and get a protective style. I hardly have time to maintain my hair.

I've been going to Tarez, The Owner, for approximately 6mos. When I arrived, my hair was very dry and damaged. Tarez uses the best products for black hair, the transformation was otherworldly. My hair is now silky and shiny. The haircut and curl are exactly what I've wanted for years. I recommend her if you want your REAL hair to blow in the wind. She's worth every cent she charges. Also, she has a staff that can do other services as well.
