First never ever rent from Gary R Carlson in Chicago North Westside at 3701 N Montrose ave Chicago IL 60618. Run!!!!Y will be put through hell and traps he has over 50 plus tenant violation reports and that's not including the 311 calls. Gary R Carlson is a con man. Pays off the alderman and CHA inspectors. CHA is aware of this and continue to allow participants to rent from this slumlord. He has terrible building conditions but he sits on millions. Only targets CHA tenants because he feeds on desperation and vulnerability. He's like Trump of CHA. He gets 2,000 dollars gauranteed to go in his pocket from your CHA voucher. Your rent portion is chump change. I talked to Javier Ruiz about my slumlord Gary R Carlson violating my tenant rights. It was confirmed that Gary R. Carlson was indeed violating my tenant rights and using retaliatory misconduct against me. Plus verbal aggression and threats. Got good information from Javier Ruiz. Javier was very helpful and informative. I have an attorney on my case to help me with court if it comes to that point

Questions & Answers

Can the property management force you out of an apartment that someone has left you in charge of for over 16 months. All bills have been paid and the rent has been paid also. I was never served any 5-10-30 day notices but the apartment was locked

Can you show that you have been living there? If you can prove residence, then what has happened is an illegal lockout. The property manager can not lock you out. It is a direct violation of the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance and the Illinois Eviction Act. Give us a call or send us an email if you have further questions!

Is there something I can do if I'm having problems with a tenant and property management is doing nothing to solve the issue. 1. Being harassed 2. Spiteful Noise 3. Personal property damaged 4. Lack of sleep 5. Several police reports PLEASE HELP!
