We received 4 quotes to have our Florida room deck, and stairs sanded and stained. After talking to all 4 companies, Javier at Almaraz Hardwood Flooring made us feel comfortable that he was the man for the job. He wasn't the lowest nor the highest price, but he was the most knowledgeable and qualified company, we spoke to. They showed up when Javier, said they would and always keep the work site clean. Javier, was always willing to answer questions as he was working. He took plenty of time making sure all the details were taken care of. I had very bad experience with this contractor. 1. He gave a quote a month before the start date and we both agreed on the rate and start date. 2. One day before start date, he texted he is still held up with his previous work. I had already moved most of things out of my house and had made alternate arrangements for me and my family 3. On the new start date, I was waiting from 8am in the morning. He didnt show up. He said his previous work is still pending. He would show up at 12pm. At 12:30pm, he texted he will show up later that evening. At 4:30pm, he said he will start the next day. 4. On the third day, he showed up for 3mins (!!) and said he didnt have anyone else with him to help him. He will be back in 2 hrs with someone to help him. He didnt show up after 4 hrs. He said he has posted in Facebook for this job and is waiting for employees (really?!!) 5. Finally, I called off this work. I had 5 stressful days. My family and I were staying out of our home. I had taken days off from work which was for nothing. Had the worst experience. Non-Professional. Lies. Deceit. Not sure how he got all these 5 star ratings!!!
