He took my Howard Miller Grandfather clock apart, diagnosed the issues and did an amazing job putting it back together. He was extremely kind, and professional. Our 120 year old grandfather clock would not work after our recent move, I called George and not only did he get back to me quickly but, was at our home the following day. The problem was diagnosed and and in less than one hour the clock is working perfectly! George showed me exactly what the issue was and explained how he would repair our clock. I am beyond disappointed in George - He came to my home in St. Augustine twice to service my 1700's tall clock. The second time he came, after the clock stopped running, I asked him to take the chime off or at least muffle it a bit. At first the slight "knocking" sound the clock made on the hour was fine. After about 2 weeks the knocking became excessively loud and sounded like someone was punching the interior of the clock case. I called George a total of 3 times, waiting 2 weeks in between calls. The last call I made I left a message stating that if he no longer serviced my area or simply did not want the work, to please just extend the courtesy of a return call - That was 4 weeks ago. George simply chose not to respond. In any event, I found a terrific new, extremely knowledgeable person to repair my clock. George took the chime feature off of the clock but never put any type of buffer in place to so the hammer was repeatedly striking the head of a large screw and getting louder and louder. If you are going to have a business, you need to return phone calls, especially when the telephone is the only means of communication. Bad customer service at its worst. Grateful I found a replacement who is courteous, professional and less expensive than George!
