I lived here for a year and only moved out due to the $493 rent increase. Upon moving out I thoroughly cleaned the entire apartment and took videos to avoid any false claims. Now I am being charged $90 for missing grout in the bathrooms, which the guest bathroom was barely used as I live alone and $85 for carpet cleaning which again was a false claim but can understand as I would want clean carpet upon moving in myself. I emailed them the video proof and they are sticking by their claim. If you live here make sure you do a walk through with someone when you move out and take pictures of every inch of the apartment including grout, which is absolutely ridiculous. Keep in mind these are photos taking from the staff at Seagrass after moveout. SO I STILL DONT SEE THE JUSTIFICATION FOR MISSING GROUT!!! Their lease states the following: No mention of grout or carpet cleaning. No move out instructions were provided. 49.CLEANING. You must thoroughly clean the apartment, including doors, windows, furniture, bathrooms, kitchen appliances, patios, balconies, garages, carports, and storage rooms. You must follow move-out cleaning instructions if they have been provided. If you don't clean adequately, you'll be liable for reasonable cleaning charges. Follow up: They did not work with me at all and I had to pay these ridiculous charges.

Maintenance requests are dealt with quickly, except when I need the exterminator. I've asked twice this month and no exterminator. Meanwhile I have bugs in the kitchen drain and dishwater.

Barking dogs, pet waste, maintenance has gone down hill. Thin floors so lots of noise from above. Management tries to nickel and dime you on everything. There are some nice apts on Kernan and Atlantic find one open. Guess there's a reason they have less vacancy. Avoid this one though.

Worse place I ever lived!!! Maintenance is very unresponsive. You hear EVERYTHING above you, loud fighting, jumping, thumping upstairs and management does nothing about it. You get one choice for internet (At&t) and connection in my apartment was terrible and affected my work (work from home). The carpet in my daughter's room needed replacing when we moved out, the other carpets were absolutely immaculate yet they tried to force me to pay to replace the entire apartment because according to them if they replace one room, then they must replace the entire apartment. ***Read the bad reviews and notice the pattern**** These people are thieves!!! They will lie cheat and steal in order to keep your deposit and bill you for unnecessary cleaning charges and replacement of carpet that is in perfect condition. They politely come on here and apologize, but do nothing to right their wrongs.
