Great spot to launch a boat from, absolutely beautiful location, beach is just a few moments away. Had a great time fishing, parking was good, no issues.

Lovely place! Secluded, yet not hard to find. Me and my family went jetskiing and had a blast. Lots of wildlife in the water. We saw three manatees and hundreds of fish. Many different kinds as well!

Nice little boat ramp with kayaks and canoes launch area which located on the opposite side of the ramp .The boat ramp is busy during the weekends. Although there only 3 boats can be launched at one time but the parking is large and shady. The kayaks and canoes launching area is small and a little steep for heavier canoes or Kayak but you should be able to launch if you have 2 people. I launched my 14’ 140lb dinghy with my son without any problem. Not too many people launch kayaks out here because it’s near the Gulf. I have a motor on my dinghy so it’s not an issue for me to get to Weeki Wachee springs. I had the ramp for myself the whole time during the weekend. I did not see anyone launching kayaks/canoes for entire day. There is a fishing pier at the end of the park and bathroom facilities at the kayaks launching area. Have fun!!

Head north out of the channel. I had a friend that just went last week and he got the full 5 gallon limit in 8-10 ft of water several miles north of the channel
Yes, but it gets super busy on weekends during scallop season. Come early, or you will have nowhere to park. Also there are no parking signs on the side of the road for a mile or so leading up to the park, so no close by parking outside the park either.
It's to the left of the boat ramp, basically right where you put in at.
According to the county media release, reconstruction on the pier began on October 28, 2019. The new pier is expected to open in the Spring of 2020, weather conditions permitting.
They use cut bait and shrimp
You can find many different fish there. Lots of people choose to fish there.
The ramp is not too bad of an incline. Not as steep as hernando beach boat ramp. River current 5-8 mph takes most of the day to paddle up about 7-8 miles to the top of the river. There is also a separate launch for kayaks and paddle boards.
This isn't really a question, but I'll answer anyway: Local residents can purchase annual passes from Parks & Rec. Never pay a parking fee again :)
If it is low tide stay in the middle there are rocks on both sides.
Last I was there, part of it was open, but not the whole pier.
