No. We have not seperated glass from plastic for about 4 years. Paper, plastic and glass are sent single stream (together) for recycling to a much larger facility that can separate them more efficiently. Cardboard and metals are placed in separate containers when brought to the Transfer Station already separated.
No. Any freon containing unit cannot be picked up curbside. Any curbside customers can bring such units to the transfer station during operating hours, Wednesdays 8am - 6pm or Saturday 8am -2pm. There is a fee of $55.00 per freon unit regardless of if it still contains freon or not.
Yes you can
Yes, we accept old tvs at the transfer station during normal hours. Our hours did change effective this week. We are open Wednesday 8am - 6pm and Saturday 8am -2pm. TVs carry a charge of $0.65/lb for old tube/crt and projection tvs, $0.35/lb for flat screens and $1.00/lb for tvs that are physically damanged ( broken screens and casing).
We do accept windows at the Transfer Station. Depending on the size of the window it will cost between $5 and $10 per window. The Transfer Station is open Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays 8am - 2pm and Wednesdays 8am-6pm. It is closed Saturday January 1, 2022.
We are not able to accept paint, stains or oil cans that still have the paint, oil or stain still in them. However if you allow the paint or stain to dry we can accept it then. Adding cat litter or wood chips helps speed the drying process along however we do charge by weight and that will increase your disposal cost. We cannot accept oil at our location. We suggest taking the oil to your local mechanic, often times they are able to accept it there. You may also try a paint store to return old paint or stains to.
The hot tub would have to cut up into 3×3×4 sections. If you are a traditional curbside customer it can be placed at the curb during bulk week, the last pickup of the month, today was the last bulk day of November. December bulk week is Dec 26th -31st. If you wanted it picked up outside of bulk week you can call 343-4203 to make arrangements at an additional cost. If you use the transfer station, it would again need to be cut into 3×3×4 sections and would cost $.20/lb. If you have any additional questions please call the above number M-F between 8:30 -2 and we would be glad to assist you.
Paint cannot be recycled. All paint must be dried up in order to be placed in the trash. Leaving open in a safe place or putting cat litter or wood chips can speed up that process.
Yes we do. For more specific locations please call the office at 343-4203. M-F 8:30-2pm
