Residence Inn by Marriott Saratoga Springs

We had a perfectly fine hotel stay, great proximity to Saratoga Springs, the staff was very nice. But I wanted to share as far as Marriott hotels goes this one rates 3 out of 5 stars. The hotel really needs a facelift. In using Marriott points for this stay, in the future I would select a different hotel.

We always use Res.Inns because we travel with our 3Dogs. That being said,we KNOW RESSIE INNS and almost ALL of them have the same (really ) ugly,tired furniture from 2007,nary an updated(glassed in) shower anywhere.The staff keeps them spotless since reopening after quarantine,but that was not always the case. I know they are pet friendly,but the charge (nonrefundable) for animals is between 50 & 100 bucks PER PET! Why not make this REFUNDABLE? We'd gladly wait for the manager on duty when we check out to go to our room,check it for damages,etc.I've written to Marriot/Bonvay with no response.We are Platinum card members,and are always upgraded~ we'd rather skip the pet fees!

Hotel was good. Bathroom could have been a tad cleaner but overall not a bad stay. I was super Impressed by complimentary breakfast options. One morning they had waffles, french toast, potatoes, cereal and oatmeal station, bagels/pastries and lots of toppings. They truly offer a lot!!!

Excellent in every way. The breakfast was stellar, even by pre-covid standards. I went twice. My three teenagers didn't need to eat again until afternoon- even the vegetarian. Mary (who the kids renamed the Queen of Breakfast) said some Sundays she does sausage and biscuit gravy. I'll be planning our next trip around that. She really cared that we loved it. I hope she has grandkids! The pool room was loud and echoey, like they all are, even though we were the only people there. Vincent from the front desk noticed that we were low on towels and had more out there before I could even ask. Nice hot tub. I called the front desk before we arrived, and Vincent set us up in the perfect room that met all my picky requirements, without making me feel like a Karen. He was super relaxed, friendly, and honestly helpful. Like he really wanted us to love the place. The kitchenette was perfect- enough, but not too much. The room was clean and well set-up. Everything from the guy removing snow from the walkway to the other clients- amazing. Perfect family place. It was quiet, nice desk area to do work in the room. I didn't check out the business area or weight room, but the kids worked out and gave it a good review. With a family member in college there, I will not bother to look online before I book again. This place rocks. Once all the kids are grown up I want to live there.
