I called and some little girl answered. I said “hi do you have a room available” and she said “can I get your name and number”. I said “I just want to know if you have rooms because everything seems booked. Do you have a room?” She sais “Ok yes let me see if some one can answer that for you, may I have your name….” That’s when I just hung up. You people can’t even answer simple questions without sounding like a robot telemarketer. Just answer the question.

The Nest is a wonderful Inn with wonderful staff. We've made this our annual spot for Dave Matthews Band at SPAC and I think the shows have become the bonus. The rooms are delightful, always super-clean, and cozy. The staff is kind and available on their pwrsonal cell phones to be so helpful whenever needed. 15 minutes to downtown Saratoga Springs with a delightful drive. A+ to Michelle and her staff.

This place could be a paradise, but the absent management ruined it—NO HOTEL STAFF. The Nest has self-check-in, which would have been fine, but we never received the email with the codes for the front door or our room. We had to hunt for a restaurant employee to help us get into our room. The room was small but cozy and well decorated. Cars and trucks zoom by early and often starting at 6 am. Maid service is sporadic at best. We had pet flies for the whole week that drove my wife crazy. The restaurant wasn't bad. They have a nice patio overlooking the water. The restaurant staff was great! Food, ok. Then they closed for Monday and Tuesday, leaving the entire place to my wife and me. We had to help people get into the hotel and advise them on how to survive. My wife and I had fun having the whole place, including the Beach Bar, to ourselves. The bar had an excellent band on Friday night. We also hung out by the water. The hotel has a large designated area with tons of chairs and tables. The sunset was almost worth the abandonment from the owners. The beach next door is public, and we never used it because of the weather, and we were busy doing other things on the nice days. It would have been nice to take a dip, but it cost $3 each. Not very much, but still. It was closed most of the time anyway. Shame on the owners for neglecting their guests. The place needs: a person on duty to help guests check-in, a new paint job badly, more choices on the menu, ice machine, soda machine, daily maid service, better communication, individual climate controls... A construction crew was replacing lights on the patio the week we were there, so maybe they are in the process of renovating. The covid economy was the answer we were given why the place was on auto-pilot. I'll cut them some slack, but not too much. The customer always comes first.
