Tamales are dry, maybe they were under the hot light long and they were warm. Medium size, masa flavor is good.

Last year on December, I had a very unpleasant experience. I had made an order to be picked on Christmas day. When, I went to pick up the order, I was told to come back in one hour. Once I arrived an hour later, they told me that it would be another 2-3 hours. At that point, there were many customers waiting and having the same issue. The customers were becoming impatient and began to complain. The people behind the register became very rude and told customers if they wanted the order they had to wait and if they didn't like it they could leave. I left immediately and they lost my business. I really despise horrible customer service. They could've been a little more humble and apologetic since they were the one's who messed up.

Very unimpressed with the customer service (no welcomes, just stares), the place has only 3-4 tables because it's so small and crowded, and their business hours are wrong. I went there with my family around 7:30pm thinking we had more than enough time to eat before they closed at 10 but they refused to serve us because they were apparently closing at 8. If that's the case, then they should've turned off the open sign. This was the second time going and the second time being disappointed.

I have gone to this restaurant for years, since shortly after they opened. I always buy tamales to take home. I haven't had a bad experience until about three weeks ago, and was treated unfriendly all of a sudden for no apparent reason (by a female employee I hadn't seen before). Nevertheless, I returned today (October 2, 2017) and it was the same unfriendly female employee. I am not fluent in Spanish, and she gave me a difficult time, even though I did what I've done for years: order a couple dozen tamales to take home. It appeared that she was scornful of my poor Spanish. Furthermore, she charged me (debit card) before she even went to the back to get what I ordered (previously I was charged AFTER the order was brought to the counter). Secondly, it took an inordinately long time for her to gather my small order of two dozen tamales even though I was the only customer in the restaurant. I actually grew worried that she might be tampering with the food, but I had already paid so I waited. Once she finally returned to the counter, she started to ring my order up again on the cash register, then laughed as though she had forgotten that she had already charged me. I let it go and remained friendly, despite the bad service. I came home after a long day and ate only 4 of the chicken tamales, and very soon afterwards developed a sharp pain and discomfort in my lower abdomen, which I am still feeling as I type this. I inspected the rest of the tamales (8 chicken and 12 beef) still in the refrigerator, but can't see anything visually wrong. However there is an odd metallic smell - not sure if it's the aluminum foil or something else. Now I am really worried, and will save the uneaten tamales and wait until the morning to see what happens. I am conjecturing here, but I definitely got the impression that the employee does not like Anglo people. Unfortunately I did not get her name, otherwise I'd post it here. The only other "employee" (?) I saw when I walked in was an elderly woman behind the counter seated on a folding chair. I am posting this because I'm concerned about what happened, and want to warn others to either avoid the place or be very cautious. In my case, regardless of what happens, after 5-6 years of regular business I will not risk returning.
