Well let’s just say they must get a kick back for keeping a person so many hours… have been waiting for 4 hrs for a person to look at a ct scan? Everything else has been done… like is home boy off today and we are just waiting for him to come in on his next scheduled day or what?!?

It has taken me a 2 months and 2 day to do this review. NOT because the hospital did anything wrong. But because I ended up losing mi sister/ best friend there. Mi sister was in the ICU on the third floor. The doctors and nurses where absolutely fantastic with the care they did for mi sister. I can NOT for the life of me think of the nurse that was taking care of mi sister for the last 2 days of mi sisters life I ultimately had to make the toughest decision I've ever had to make. But I didn't feel like I had to make the decision alone. As that angel of a nurse was by mi side the whole entire time and process. And just as she promised when I took mi sister off life support she would make sure she was comfortable and didn't suffer. And that lovely nurse did exactly that! I wish I could remember her name. At that very moment when mi sister/ best friend and hero took her last breath. There was another hero standing right beside me. And it was the nurse. Thabk yiu sweetheart for all you did to make mi sister comfortable. And evwn as she was gonna be taken off life support. You didn't NOT care for her tht day. Yiu evwn still changed her gown and put her hair up. I hope you see this and I want you to know. You are a true hero. And whatever life offers you I pray it's nothing but the best ALWAYS!

I am so tired of this place. I had a procedure done months ago and the service was definitely not great (they didn’t even call me to tell me my results AND they never figured out what was wrong with me). But the worst part is payment; for months I have been trying to pay, and every time they say I’ve paid for everything I get a new bill. And it wouldn’t be as big of a deal if they weren’t sending me to collections??? I literally paid in July and they said “this is it. you have no more bills” but I just got a bill from a collections agency saying I owe more??? This is honestly just so exhausting.

My mom had a stroke and Hey...my mom had a stroke and Aneurysm. While she was in ICU, the nurses did an amazing job taking care of here & was very attentive to her needs and mine. She finally moved to a regular room. The Nurses have horrible bedside manner, and I often felt I was seen as a burden. The nurses seldomly made an appearance. I understand staffing is a problem at the moment for hospitals, but the lack of communication or even acknowledgement that I required and requested assistance made the situation that much more frustrating.

They have a Ronald McDonald house there but to my knowledge family have to sleep in the waiting rooms or patient room if private...at least that was what I had to do...they do have a shower area family can use ...hope this helps
I'm not sure about that they may have any time I have been down there for a surgery we got discounted motel rooms also check with Eastside church of christ they may able to help you out also
The university hospital has the best doctors around. Sometimes it takes to much time to get a second opinion which time is not to waste. I am a badly injured firefighter and spent my time here in a coma. So as a former patient the best think I can say is to pray. And pray the hardest that you ever have prayed before. I wish you and your loved one the best. God is more powerful than you think. I will pray for you now. God Bless
I would take them to another hospital ASAP and report your findings from so said doctor who wouldn't help you
I would suggest going somewhere else if they refuse to give you a second opinion

They have visitor parking thats pretty much free opposite side of the building where the emergency room is.
Yes. Ask a nurse. The key term is "advance directive." Generally better to 'have in hand' during a check-in. It's not a living will but will work for medical care orders.
