My child always looks forward to their horse lessons and loves spending time with the horses. My child is a tiptoe walker, both Katy and John without being told recognized it and started adding activities/exercises to help strength their muscles.

I've been on a horse a dozen or so times, and the one place I keep returning to is Anderson Equestrian Center. Katy is an amazing teacher. I've been to both of Anderson Equestrian Center's locations, and absolutely love this new location! I didn't think Katy and John, and center's four-legged family could make a barn feel more like home to a non-equestrian, until I set foot on the new property. When working with animals, it is extremely important to follow directions, and treat the animals with respect and dignity. Each time I've had a lesson, Katy has picked the perfect horse for me. She's introduced me to driving and riding saddle seat, which is very different from what I've done before. I'll be back in Columbia, Missouri, in a few months and can't wait to visit Anderson Equestrian Center to see Katy and take a lesson - it'll be the highlight of my trip!

BEWARE of MANNY the goat. Went for my introductory first lesson. Never made it onto a horse. Within 10 minutes of my arrival to the stables, I was butted TWICE by the resident goat on my left knee...knocked me to the ground both times. Two visits to urgent care, x-rays, visit to orthopedics, knee brace, ice, meds. Have a sprain of my medial cruciate ligament. Can't run or walk the dogs for 3 weeks now. This was a totally avoidable "accident" ..just keep the dang goat tied up when customers are there.

The moment Kathy talked down to me and my daughter was when she earned her business a bad review. I feel bad since they do rescue horses and one from Stephens college. My daughter came to ride a horse with her friend and the lady was rude about that and talked down to my daughter.

Not sure it may very per.person and age but I believe like $110 per month for my 3 year old and she goes every Thursday, and I believe the lady's name is Katie. I hope this helps you 🙂
Thanks for your interest! You do not need your own horse. We have an awesome group of school horses for students to ride! In fact, it is best to learn on our school masters for a period of time before even considering owning a horse. We hope to see you in class soon!
