Dirty and not kept up well, but my kids love the river access and the trails !!! It does feel very safe, and the frequenters are smart and friendly.

Yes. When the water level is normal. Right now it's in a flood stage and flowing fast. There are plenty areas here you can easily accessible to the water without fishing from the ramp. Enjoy your trip!
