Goodwill Store and Donation Center

Goodwill used to be my “go to” place for almost all my clothing/items. They have also changed their “tag” days making it hard for people that work to shop for the 75% discount. Lately they have started raising their prices, have removed jewelry and done away with dressing rooms. My latest experience was yesterday. I was just looking around and notice a USED clothing pattern that was priced at $7.34. How ridiculous is that? Otherwise the store is nice and clean, employees are friendly. I’m guessing if the CEO would cut his salary at least in half they would either have more funds for charitable things, or could give the public a better bargain. Each item that is donated cost the same for GW…NOTHING! Sometimes I find items priced higher than you can buy them new! This is not good. We have another thrift store that is wonderful an that’s where I’ll start shopping and donating. And, they are locally owned and NFP helping our county with their business. It’s called Randolph County Helping Hands…… Thank you for the opportunity to vent.

This location is honestly the best one we've been to. It's quite a drive for us and over the last 5 years we've made probably 20 or so visits and every single time has been a pleasant experience. Nice selection of merchandise, clean, and well stocked. Well done Moberly!!

Everything is as expected for a Goodwill except for one area. Drop in rating is because their dressing room is now a display, which means i have to drive 20 miles one way to their location, purchase any clothing i might be interested in, take it home and try it on. Then find some time in the next 2 weeks to repeat the whole loop and return whatever doesn't fit. 40 miles of unnecessary driving is enough to turn me away as a customer. Reopen your dressing room and I will be back.
