Pleasant staff but not exactly LGBTQ+ friendly. Another issue with this office is seating. When you arrive you are placed in a vestibule with no seats for the physically challenged. I am legally disabled and I was forced to stand for about 30m until security allowed me into the office. Given that the SSA is required by law to affirm the ADA, and provide services for those who can't work because of disabilities. You would think there would be a procedure in place for people like me.

I visited there on 08/22/2022. To be honest, I was very afraid to go there due to some reviews about the security guard and their behavior. However, to my surprise, I found a very kind and polite security guard, who gave pre-instructions and important tips. I'm sorry for the ones who had a bad experience there. I solved my problem in a few minutes without an appointment or problem at all.

Go into the office to make one however, you may get your business done without an appointment

If your foreign then how do you have a social security number? Much less a card??
They close at 4pm everyday, except on Wednesday they close at 12pm.
Walking in
To get past year's 1099 statements, it may be best to go to the social security office office and talk to a representative face to face about getting your statements. Be sure to bring your ID and get there when they open so you can get in and out cuz they can get crowded.
Yes you need a photo I'd. You can call them they might just take your birth certificate.
You can make the appointment on line at ssa.gov
Go in and talk to them before u turn 70 just to be on the safe side. I think this be the best approach. Also go as early as possible so u won't be sitting there a long time. They open at 9 am Monday - Friday. The do have a metal detector so be prepared to take off anything that may set it off. Hope this helps.
I'm sorry I always ask Goggle 😄🤣
