For the most part Hugo's is a clean store to shop in. Due the pandemic I had not been in a store in many, many months. But I decided to try the other day and the Hugo's scooters that they have for the disabled, still continue to do jolting stops!! I understand that if it seems like someone is falling out of the seat the machine has to do a fast stop. But I think they have the sensitivity level up just a bit too high! The more groceries you put into the basket the more often it jolts to a stop. My guess is it has to do with the shifting of the groceries in the basket as you drive and maybe hit an unevenness in the floor, or just even turning into an aisle. Shutting it off and turning it back on does not solve the issue. You have to literally stand up and sit down, sometimes numerous times just to get it to start moving again. I will not shop there again until they fix those motorized carts. It's extremely hard on one's back & knees to be trying to stand up, sit down, stand up, sit down, Etc. just to get it to start moving again. My other issue with Hugo's has always been, for over 20 years, they have a tendency to put up sale signs next to the product , knowing full well that that item is not even going on sale for a day or two later. In my opinion, that is defrauding the public. When I worked at Kmart, the customer always got the price that was listed on the Shelf. Because it's the store's responsibility to assure the customer that they're not taking advantage of them. And then they also have the tendency to not even honor that price when it's their problem. Or they'll have issues where they will not take down sale signs after sale is over. For the most part the sales clerks have always been good at their job and with customer service. Prices have always been higher at Hugo's stores. And I understand that their thinking is they can't get it lower because they're not a conglomerate like Target or Walmart and can't keep up with the inventory or something. But their legit sales are decent. But I wouldn't go shopping for much of anything else in there because of the high cost of everyday items and the mishandling of sale item pricing at the till and also with the shelving sale signs. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS is all I can tell you to do.

The store on 32nd in grand forks is going to have the best selection. There isn't a Hugo's in fargo and they are on the higher side for prices
They still ask 6' social distancing & one way aisles. They also provide hand-sanitizer and masks for safety of both employees and customers.
I haven't seen it. Would like to try it!
