The buildings are cheaply built. The location of the gated community (more a white cult compound) is so far from the beach. It takes 15 minutes just to reach the main highway, then another 20 minutes without traffic to the ocean, where you have to fight for parking. Do yourself a favor (unless you are in the white-only cult) and spend your money on a house closer to the beach.

While we were blown away be all of what St. James plantation has to offer, we we're very disappointed with the overall quality of the townhome we toured. Specifically the fact the cabinets throughout the home were made of particle board. At a price of $500K+, and additional expenses that would be incurred if we purchased, we would have expected much more. It also made us wonder what other short cuts the builder took to lower their cost and increase profit.

My wife was a manager at this property over 15yrs ago when they were building the Players club clubhouse and I cooked there at the bar and we loved working there, played golf, went fishing with some of the property owners really a good place to work

Now retired, my wife and I wanted a vacation home for our family to enjoy and one day to leave to our children to provide rental income and a lifetime of vacation memories. After a chance visit to Southport about four years ago my wife said one day she would love to live here. With St. James Plantation I knew I could provide instantly for both my wife and children. Dave Poletti helped us purchase a beautiful three bedroom ground floor condo that not only our entire family could visit together or they could travel to with their friends. Our new home will also provide a generous rental income for years to come. Our agent, Dave Poletti worked with us meeting every one of our needs. On very short notice we were able to visit the facilities and our condo and had an offer accepted in no time at all. It has been an incredible experience working with Dave and all of the staff at the visitor center and we now look forward to moving into and our first visit to St. James Plantation as a property owner. Our new HOME AWAY FROM HOME .

Uber will cost more than 20 bucks from the Myrtle Beach airport to St James Plantation. But Uber is probably your best bet.
They do have a RV parking lot. If you reach out to the realtor to make an appointment to tour houses they should be able to work something out for parking.

Thanks so much everyone. We are hoping to visit St. James this summer and I have gotten interested in these units so that we might be able to escape the Northeast, especially the winter months. This was an important aspect. Thanks again!!!
