1st visit there seeing a friend who has a RV on lot there. Lake looks pretty nice, people are friendly but that has always been the status quo in Wooster.

Very quiet and pleasant place

My mom has a place at Prairie Lane Lake Park, and every fourth of July they have fireworks. And through out the summer they have activities planned. Such as fishing tournaments, Cornhole tournaments and horseshoe tournaments just to name a few. Wonderful place for family. Beautiful lakes and wildlife.

Beautiful place, great clean lakes. New management (well new within last ten years) is a bit strict but it's really for the overall experience for those who pay to be there.

No over night spots. Have to become a member and pay for a full year. Definitely worth the money though.
No, people can't stay all year long. Water gets turned off during winter. Electric can stay on during the winter for an additional charge if the person wants it kept on.
Idk I work cutting trees there
My Mom lives on the ski lake and I know there are a few campers up for sale... Some are without electricity and water and a few on her end of the lake where there is electricity and water. They have opened the lake up so during the day you can go look around, but stop at the office and get more information from them also.
You can get in the park all year but no water in the winter and no electricity unless you pay extra for winter electric.
This is seasonal and to the best of my knowledge people have to rent their space, I'm not sure if they do just weekend camping or not, however as far as year round goes i know there are only a few people who live there year round and they were technically "grandfathered" in from previous owner but I do believe the new owners do not allow people to stay year round, just seasonal from i believe may-September or October. You would need to call their office to find out for sure, I'm just going by my personal knowledge because my parents are one of the few who are permitted to live there year round. But i don't know these new owners personally to be answering questions for them and know they're right. So this is more opinion than fact, I'm sorry. So i would call the office to get all the correct information and pricing, because i know nothing about that.
This isn't a campground open to just day to day camping. People have their campers there. My parents live there. And no they don't have canoes. People have their own boats there. It's a private campground.
There really isn't hiking areas. I mean, there's swamplands and woods, but i personally wouldn't recommend hiking there. To the best of my knowledge you can not visit unless you know somebody there. My parents live there. It is a gated entrance that requires a card to open so you would have to know somebody there to let you in. There's plenty of areas around the shreve swamps that are open to the public if you want to "hike" there.
My parents live there year round but they were grandfathered in from old owners, i don't believe they allow that anymore. But you can still get in to do work or whatever throughout the winter months. They give you a key card for the gate so you can get in when the gate is down. And like my parents who live there year round have to pay for electricity in the winter months. They've been living there for several years. Seem to love it.
