Inefficient. They will not allow you to sign your title infront of them. You have to walk outside, sign it, then wait 3 more hours. So ineffective, I feel bed for the employees

As expected. What else can you expect? Be prepared to settle in with your (fully charged) smart phone, or a good book. However, once my number was called (waited about 45 minutes for getting new tags), the woman who helped me was VERY friendly and helpful. No impatience or attitude, except a great one. She was "in training," but I never would've known. It's too bad that typically, the one-on-one minutes you talk with your DMV Clerk are usually uncomfortable at any DMV. This is because, you deeply fear being sent away (again) to go get some document that you were supposed to have before you came over (again) to wait for an hour or two (again). The alerting system in the large enough waiting room is great. It is both on TV monitors, and audible through a PA system that is loud enough to be heard through the high noise level, but not too loud. Unfortunately, there is no big screen HD TV for your entertainment while you wait. All in all, if your expectations for any DMV experience are realistic, than it's easy to say that this office is way up there in 95th percentile. They are smart about dealing with huge numbers of impatient people, and are actually very efficient for most regular stuff. I can't complain about anything, because I can't think of anything! When you have to go to a DMV for plates, tags, titles, etc., this is a good choice. Recommended.

If I could give 0 I would. The clerk lost my title. Simple as that, this is unacceptable. Do not go to this office if possible. Every clerk is overweight, sloppy and incompetent. To be continued...

I just left the Weld County Motor Vehicle services offices very pleased with the help I received from Sandy. She was courteous, patient, and very efficient with title work late in the day. Sandy went out of her way to help me late in the day, and I’m grateful. Thanks so much Sandy - hoping these 5 stars help motivate you and your team to continue to deliver this kind of experience to everyone.

From the Colorado DMV website: https://dmv.colorado.gov/loststolen-driver-license-permit-or-id-card "If your driver license, identification card or instruction permit (also called credentials) was lost, stolen or destroyed, you may qualify for a duplicate license for a fee. You may be eligible for a duplicate at no charge if you do not receive your credential in the mail, and come into a state Driver License Office between 30 and 90 days after the issue date of the lost credential. If you wish to check on the status of your card, please go to myDMV.Colorado.gov and use the "Where is my driver license/ IS?" service." Also: "If you're out of state and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you can request a duplicate by mailing a completed DR 2989 with an out-of-state mailing address to: COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE Division of Motor Vehicles P.O. Box 173345 Denver, CO 80217-3345" Creating an account on http://mydmv.colorado.gov/ is quick, easy, and will save you A LOT of trouble
No but u can make one t get out faster
tags cost,
Usually closed on all government holidays
Yes, you will.
For what? License, registration, title, transfer? It would depend on price of vehicle, and you would have to take title snd bill of sale in to their office. They will not give estimated price over the phone.
One time fee of 80.00 and 30 of that goes to pet overpopulation fund. Then 25 to renew.
Make an appt on their website
DMV. They claim they are so short staffed that they can't send them out on time. They claim it's up to US to check in with them if we haven't received anything. Carly Koppes is worthless and I don't understand why she keeps getting voted in!
If you need a registration for the motorcycle, go to Greeley Motor Vehicle Office 1250 H St, Greeley CO 80631 However if you need a motorcycle endorsement on your driver's license you go to The Greeley driver's license office: 2320 W Reservoir Rd, Greeley, CO 80631
On their website, weldgov.com... expect the first available appointment to be about a month out. If you need service sooner, print your ticket 30 minutes before opening time(8am) to avoid a wait time beyond 30 minutes.
You can either mail the information in or go into the office.
Negative
I just bought it for work and trying to get it registered and plates
They are doing walk-ins you don't need a appointment
Because it's just a family transfer, and not a sale, I don't believe a new test is required. I didn't have to retest when I got my first car from my parents.
I dont see a question here. I see an answer
I would sign off on the title
The appointment line goes way faster. Normally no line because they get taken right away basically.
Yes, you can. weldmotorvehicle.com
? I wouldn't have a clue
I lost the paper that arrives every year to renew my stickers, how do I get that paper back to pay for the stickers?
They are open you have to call and set up an appointment bad thing is all appointments are 2 weeks out. Wait time on phone can be upwards of 45mins to set up appointment
Yes, you can make an appointment. If you have nothing to do but wait on hold for several hours trying to get through, that is. It is much, much easier & faster to renew them online. There is also a drop box at the desk for you to put your renewal card & payment in, which could be faster than an appointment.
Not sure if the process is the same for cars. I had my car's VIN inspection and emmision test done then I called the Weld County Motor Vehicle at O Street to schedule an appointment. I also brought all other documents like residency form, car insurance, driver's license, etc. Emmision test may not be necessary for motorcycles.
It took me 45 mins on hold to get an appointment. Online would not work.
That's a good question. Online maybe?
No I dont believe so
Yes,but if you see any papers about how many can be in there or so please put a photo up. Thanks :)
From what I hear the person name on the car as to be there to get the plates. After that anyone can renew the tags as long as they have the card they send to u in the mail.

How's the wait today? I'm coming in at 1:00 and prepared to wait till close if necessary
Nope
Yes. They charge and extra 3% though.
Ask the regulations from the HWY patrol
I think you just have to have a government issued id
Couple hundred, with emissions if you need it.
As far as I know you can only do renewals online. New plates you have to go in for.
Yes I can and if it still has time left on the plates u will get credit off of the renewal of the plates and it's tough to determine price of platez cause they charge u sales tax on what u aid for the vehical plus fees so if it was a coupke hundred for the vehical it will probably cost between 150 and 400 good luck with ur task also go there early when they first open to get through the waiting time faster
Not sure about emissions..
They will mail every thing to you in two weeks or so.
The state where you bought the vehicle is where you pay sales tax. You might be able to deduct that on your taxes though. You get plates where the vehicle is registered and transfer them when you move out of the state.
Anyone on the title
What if I got an emissions test done on February 2018 in California
If you bought it from a dealership they should have provided one to you. If its from a private party, yes you need one. Gas vehicles are only exempt for their first seven years of existence. 2011's are almost on their eighth year. You can always call and double check.
You can, just bring in the plates when you register your new vehicle along with your documentation for the new car and they'll transfer them over.
Proof of insurance, paperwork with the VIN on it, your Driver's license and form of payment. I'd recommend cash or check as there is an additional fee for using a card.
They don't give prices over the phone. You have to go in with all the paperwork.
Ask a dealer. It depends on model and miles, and dmv does not quote prices for their services over the phone. You have to go in person with title and registration.
Do you finance this vehicle?
No only one needs to come in.
The emissons testing facility. No, just registration, I think
Letter from lender saying car is being financed. Emission test. If purchased out of state you need a VIN verification. Proof of insurance for your new vehicle. If purchased from local dealer they will usually send in paperwork and you get a postcard saying you can pick up your plates and what you need to bring with you. The state just started a new system to register vehicles and it sucks so plan on a long wait no matter what.
Sure you can.
Yes
You will have to go in person, as they will not quote prices over the phone
My front and back plate were stolen. I reported it to the Police department and had to get replacement plates. It costs $8.60. I needed my I.D. and current insurance card. I also took the police report
Yes, contact the DMV directly for answers to those questions, and save yourself some time, MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE! in & out ahead of everyone else (if you can stand the inevitable glares...lol). ~Richard
You have a 30 day grace period before late fees start, i think
Clerk and Recorder of Weld will issue a refund within 30 days of business date of renewing palates.
When you buy a new or used vehicle, they give you a temp plate good for 60 days. They will notify you when the paperwork is done and your plates can be picked up. You will need current drivers license, proof of insurance, and correct form of payment. And lots of patience!
You will probably need to pass emissions before you get the title and registration changed over. Call dmv and ask and they can tell you if that vehicle needs emissions test.
I'm being stubborn......even if I still have the in my possession.......they are the original first issue? If you say no again, ill accept it. :(
How or where do u get a limited power of attorney?
Yes, every 2 years.
There are also kiosks at a few Kingsoopers. In Greeley, it is the Kingsoopers Northgate on W. 10th St. And 71st Avenue
How much is it to change a title to my name
