Our materials are some of the most environmentally sustainable. We rely on gold standard certifications like ZQ for Wool through NZ Merino and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for Tree. In New Zealand, sheep outnumber humans about six to one. Thanks to their wool, our process uses 60% less energy than materials used in typical synthetic shoes. Our Tree fiber TENCEL Lyocell is mainly sourced from wood grown in South Africa. The cultivation relies on natural rainfall, which means there's no need for artificial irrigation and fertilizers. Compared to traditional materials like cotton, it uses 95% less water and cuts our carbon footprint in half. The sugarcane used to make SweetFoam is sourced from southern Brazil, where it relies on rainwater, not irrigation. It s a fully renewable resource that grows quickly, removing carbon from the atmosphere in the process. Yes, you can still return your purchases in-store or online, no matter where you bought them.

Sizing varies among our shoe styles, but all of our shoes are medium width and most are full sizes only. Please note that we now include half sizes in our Tree Breezers and Running shoes. The Wool collection starts out a little snug and then stretches naturally, while the Tree material is super accommodating, but will fit similarly over time as it retains shape. We've found that most full-size customers stick with their full size in both materials. If you're a half size, we've found most customers size up in every silhouette beside the Tree Runners. If you have a wider foot and you're a half size, we'd suggest sizing up to the next full size in everything.

We currently offer four shipping speeds within the contiguous United States. The first is our $5 standard shipping option, which takes about 6-8 business days to arrive from the time you place your order. As a heads-up, we automatically waive that fee for all orders $75 and over. The carrier (FedEx, USPS or a regional carrier) will be automatically selected based on your shipping address. Options may differ or be unavailable depending on the final destination (PO Box, Armed Services and Outlying Territories, etc.). We offer 2-business day expedited shipping starting at $16 and 1-business day expedited shipping starting at $25. The final price for both of these options will be given at checkout and is determined by order volume and final destination. Additionally, we now offer 3-5 business day express shipping for $6. Please note that we only ship and deliver on business days and that only expedited orders placed before 12:30 pm ET on a business day will ship that same day.

For your socks & undies, you can toss them in the washing machine and set it to cold with your favorite mild detergent. When they re done, you can tumble dry low or air-dry wearer s choice. But be sure to avoid the iron, dry cleaning, and bleach to keep them looking good. If your shoes start to feel a little less than fresh, throw them in the washing machine on the wool or gentle cycle. But first, be sure to remove the insoles and laces. For the best results, use your favorite gentle detergent and a delicates bag. To preserve the fluorine-free water-repellent treatment on the wool upper, we recommend hand washing the shoes in our Mizzle collection. Spot cleaning dirt with warm water and gentle soap is the best but if they need a deep clean, machine washing is still okay. Don t forget to air dry your shoes just like in the good ol' days and whatever you do, avoid the dryer and bleach at all costs!

All of Allbirds shoes are medium width, but we have found that many customers with wider feet are able to find a comfortable fit due to the forgiving nature of our sustainable materials. The Wool collection will stretch naturally over time, while the Tree collection is flexible and form-fitting! If you wear a half size, we typically say to try the size up for some extra wiggle room!

Returns or exchanges for our sustainable shoes are on us, no questions asked, within 30 days. Couple of things regarding apparel: You still have 30 days to mull it over, but labels need to be intact. And for socks and undies, packaging must be unopened. Returns/exchanges can be done only in the country of purchase. And sales for Accessories and Face Masks are final.
