You can also swim along the shoreline north of the swim beach. The width of the beach is narrow but there are trees and lots of space for everyone to spread out. The front entrance of the park has a fresh water fill up and so does the camp ground (Eagle campground) on the North point of lake

Carter Lake IS NOT A CATCH & RELEASE LAKE! 3 walleye per day with a max of 5 in possession. Trout is 5 per day with a max of 8 in possession. The guy who said it's catch & release is wrong & I wouldn't want him as MY guide.
