We were just up there a couple of days ago and it appears they have removed all of the cabins and are just beginning to replace them. Currently just a few steel beams are up, so it will be a while

Yes, you need a camping pass and a vehicle entry pass. I booked online so the camping pass was already taken care of. The daily vehicle pass can be purchased at the gate either from the gatehouse or (in the off season) the automated machine that accepts credit cards.

Is there flush toilets?
