Got a great haircut by Jane. Salon setting makes it easy to feel comfortable and at ease!

Nicole is my stylist and I love her. I started going to her 3 years ago. I used to travel to Brooklyn for someone who knew how to cut straight Asian hair—my hair is pin straight and not very forgiving in the wrong hands. I did research and then have Nicole & Harueh a try and I’m so happy I did. I’ve had a bob, a long cut, and in this photo she just gave me some layers. I don’t style my hair daily—I just wash and go—and she knows just what to do. Nicole is very talented, professional, efficient and sweet. It’s a good idea to trust her and let her do her thing. The salon is also very clean and nice. I highly recommend Nicole and Harueh!

I’ve been going to harueh for about 2 years now and have really loved it but this year, I’ve noticed things have been going downhill. I didn’t love the last haircut I got back in Jan but returned today because I’ve only had good experiences. However, I definitely feel a bit cheated after today and won’t be returning again. I asked for highlights/balayage but didn’t want it to be overly bright so I asked for anything that’s not completely bright yellow or white. I showed a few pictures of the kind of hair I wanted (2nd pic) but unfortunately my hair looks like it’s just dyed a solid block of brown (1st pic). Also the roots of my hair are black and the rest is brown which frankly makes it look like a bad dye job. The hair stylist gave me a discount and the total came out to $470. They also never told me in the two confirmation calls they gave me but it’s now a CASH only salon. They always took card for the last multiple visits I made so this was a surprise and they charged me an extra ~$20 for using a card/they didn’t take debit either. They could have at least told me before my visit that they needed me to bring half a grand in cash. Who carries that much cash on them anyways? It really disappoints me that Harueh has gone down the drain like this. This was my go-to salon and I just don’t like that they’ve become the kind of business that gives sub par service and adds miscellaneous charges to increase the price of their service at checkout. The whole experience was really disappointing and misleading. I gave two stars instead of one because of all the past positive experiences I’ve had prior to my last two visits

No, I don't believe so. They have different levels of stylists - more experienced stylists will charge a higher rate, so ask before you choose someone (each person has a set rate).
Yes I believe they do accept cards, though the tax is wavered when paying cash.
