Terrible experience at the salon most recently. The older lady with the foreign accent that was doing the hair cut was plain rude to clients. For one, she barely greeted clients upon arriving. I wasn’t even asked to sit — I had to find a seat myself! It was evident upon arriving that I was not welcomed there. When she finally approached me she proceeds to call my hair THIS and brush through it aggressively. I was appalled by the remarks she made of clients hair: “your hair is dry, your hair is damaged, your hair is curly (aka THIS).” I also sensed some level of racism in the air. When I left, I was pretty darn relieved. I have never been to a salon and experienced such atrocious treatment. My goodness.

James Corbett Studio is one of the friendliest and most professional hair salons in NYC. I’ve been a client for years. Oddly the review prior to mine is completely erroneous- the woman was writing about another salon- those accusations are mis-founded. I would highly recommend.
