Dr. Miller is more than just an amazing surgeon he is an artist. He rightfully portrays a confidence in his ability to provide unmatched results and care which allowed me to feel and know that I am in good hands at every step of the process. His caring and attentive personality combined with his attention to detail and incredible skill was beyond impressive. I am thrilled with my results and could not be happier. Thank you Dr. Miller!

Dr. Miller is a nice man, the facility is clean and the staff is kind. But overall I am very unhappy with my rhinoplasty revision results. I spent over $18,000 to be left with the same issues as before. I was promised a straighter nose and it is still just as curved as before. It is very disappointing to spend almost a down payment on a house for the pain and downtime of surgery to have no change. I was hoping for a better experience and result. They even had to go in a second time so shave a bump that developed after the first surgery. I really wish something more would have been done and I could have gotten the results I was truly hoping for. I have realistic expectations and I haven’t even received a call for a follow- up appointment to see what the options are to fix this.

I don't typically write reviews, but wanted to share for those prospective patients doing their research. I have now undergone two procedures with Dr. Miller, a unilateral eyebrow lift to correct some asymmetry as well as an open rhinoplasty with septoplasty and turbinoplasty. Dr. Miller does flawless work. He is conservative, which is a good thing in my opinion. He will not make you look overdone or unnatural. In fact, most people can't tell exactly what is different about my face, just that I look better and am more confident when having my picture taken. I have to admit, I have wanted a rhinoplasty since I was a teen but was too scared of the procedure and the anesthesia. The anesthesiologist, the PA, the nurse and of course Dr. Miller were terrific. They listened to my concerns and adjusted my treatment protocol accordingly. Recovery was not too bad actually, despite all that was done. I never bruised and was able to be out and about after the first week, looking pretty normal. I was able to manage any pain with tylenol. If you are considering rhinoplasty or any facial procedure, this is the Doctor to go to. His credentials and skill level are unmatched.

No. In fact, many patients undergoing rhytidectomy choose to grow their natural hair out beforehand in order to better hide scars and stitches during the healing period.
Traditional facelift surgery will correct the lower portion of the face including the cheeks, jowls, and the neck. Unless a brow lift is performed, it will not improve the upper portion of the face, such as the position of the eyebrows, wrinkling between the eyebrows, or excess skin of the upper or lower eyelids or lower eyelid bags. The procedure will do little for the smile lines and cannot improve wrinkles around the mouth.
Generally, a facelift procedure takes about 2-4 hours, but it may take longer if other cosmetic procedures are done at the same time. I will discuss the specific expectations for your surgery at your consultation.
A facelift will lift sagging skin and muscle while removing excess fat. Laser surfacing will correct fine wrinkles or lines on the skin’s surface but it will not tighten skin or correct sagging of the neck. Some patients may require both.
Tip plasty is a nose job that focuses specifically on nose tip. The tip plasty procedure may involve tip reduction or adjustments to the tip of the nose to create a better angle and more pleasing look without having to undergo a complete rhinoplasty procedure.
Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane, Perlane, and Juvéderm are the preferred injectable fillers for non-surgical nose jobs, as they are the easiest to mold and shape, and can be removed within 24 hours. Depending on circumstances, Radiesse may also be used.
o determine if you are a good candidate for this minimally invasive facelift technique, pull your hair up in a tight ponytail, and look in the mirror. Do you like what you see? Does the lift open up your eyes, making you look awake and refreshed, your cheekbones increasingly defined, and your skin youthfully taut? If so, you are an excellent candidate for the MicroLift. Women from their early 20s through their 40s, and beyond, who want to erase the early signs of aging and experience permanent results, but are not ready for an invasive full-facelift, can find their desired results through the MicroLift. As with any other cosmetic surgery, patients should be in generally good health and have realistic expectations for the procedure.
Dr. Miller’s MicroLift takes approximately one hour to complete.
In NYC, ponytail lift cost usually ranges from $10,000 to $20,000.* The exact cost of a MicroLift will be determined at your consultation appointment with Dr. Miller. *Prices reflect the average cost of the procedure in the area. For an actual quote, please contact Dr. Miller directly.
A PDO thread lift uses absorbable stitches, strategically placed under the skin to lift and enhance the balance and proportions of the face. Dr. Miller uses the MINT PDO threads, which offer a superior result to other types of sutures. MINT threads have small barbs along them that anchor the sutures in place and actually draw up the tissue to produce a more youthful appearance. A thread lift can provide similar results to a Miller Lift, but without the use of fillers. PDO stands for polydiaxone, which is the name of the stitch material used to lift the tissue. Local anesthesia is used, so patients remain awake during the procedure. You will see your results immediately. The procedure is short, usually lasting under a half hour. There is no recovery downtime.
Mid-face and cheeks Lower-face and jowls Eyebrows Neck A thread lift may also contour the jawline and smooth smile lines. Other looks that can be achieved with thread lifting techniques include the "cat eye," a brow lift, neck lift, and lower facelift procedures. Dr. Miller can use this technique for any of these outcomes.
The threads Dr. Miller uses are absorbable, so the results do not last forever. Your lift will likely last between 6 to 12 months, depending on your age and the area of your face or neck that was lifted. Typically, the lift will begin to lessen around the 6 month mark.
If you are at least 16 years old, a non-smoker, and in good physical health, you may be a candidate for African American rhinoplasty. The best way to determine your eligibility is to have a consultation with an experienced facial plastic surgeon who specializes in black nose jobs. After examining your nose, your surgeon will create an appropriate surgical plan to resolve your concerns while preserving the ethnic features of your nose and producing a natural, beautiful result.
Nose jobs for African Americans can cost anywhere from $6,000 to $25,000 in New York City. This is the average price for the area, but the true cost varies from patient to patient, depending on factors like the patient’s aesthetic goals, the length and involvement of the surgery, the surgeon’s experience, etc. The actual cost will be provided during your consultation. For more information on the cost of African American rhinoplasty, please contact Dr. Miller at his Manhattan, New York plastic surgery office.
You can usually return to work and normal activities within three weeks, but you should refrain from strenuous physical activity for 3-6 weeks. You will begin to see the swelling and bruising disappear within 2-3 weeks, at which time you will start to appreciate the results. Full results usually take 6-12 weeks to be seen while your healing will continue for the entire first year. Dr. Miller and his team will follow you through this entire process, but please be patient to see the final results.
Asian rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure. Patients can return home on the day of surgery but will need someone else to drive them home and stay with them for the first 24-48 hours. A splint or taping may be applied to the nose for several days up to one week after surgery. Patients are advised to stay home and relax for one week before resuming most activities. Some patients experience swelling, bruising, and tenderness, which can last up to three months after surgery. Dr. Miller provides patients with individual recovery and aftercare instructions to ensure a quick recovery and seamless results.
The average cost for an Asian rhinoplasty procedure performed by a certified and skilled plastic surgeon in New York City is anywhere from $10,000-$20,000. This price is not exact, and the actual cost varies by person depending on the experience of the surgeon and the extent of the surgery. It is essential to find the best Asian rhinoplasty surgeon in your area, rather than going with the lowest price, to ensure the best possible results. Patients can learn more about the price of their procedure during their consultation with Dr. Miller.

Although there are radiofrequency (RF) and ultrasound therapies that effectively tighten and smooth the skin, the liquid facelift offers the ability to restore volume while treating fine lines and wrinkles. With minimal downtime, this procedure offers a quick fix for early signs of aging. Keep in mind that liquid facelifts produce temporary results and procedures will need to be repeated every few months to maintain your refreshed appearance.
Each ethnic nose presents unique structural characteristics. For example, the African-American nose tends to have wide nostrils and a low nasal bridge. This requires a different surgical approach than a Middle Eastern nose that usually presents with a large hump on the bridge and droopy nasal tip. When considering ethnic rhinoplasty, a patient should examine the surgeon’s skill and experience with their particular ethnic group. The best plastic surgeon in the world may have little to no experience with a particular ethnic group, which can call into question the final results.

When the facial plastic surgery, or a portion of the surgery, is performed to improve nasal breathing, insurance may pay for those specific costs. My office can contact your insurance company for an estimate of care to determine what your responsibility will be.
As with the initial procedure, revision rhinoplasty will require approximately 12-18 months for a full recovery. In cases where I have harvested a patient’s own cartilage (sources may be the ears or ribs), there may be some discomfort at these sites as they heal too. There may be additional swelling with the addition of nasal implants or the removal of extra material, especially if the first surgeon took a very conservative approach.
Revision rhinoplasty cases often require 2-3 hours to complete. In more complicated cases, there may be additional time needed for the surgery.
Prospective patients seeking to undergo a secondary nose surgery should have a fully developed nose, which will have typically stopped growing in a person’s mid to late teen years. The individual should be healthy and fully healed from the initial procedure. Candidates should have realistic expectations about the changes Dr. Miller can create.
While there is technically no limit because the tissue will be manipulated and sometimes removed during each surgery, each case will vary. Revision rhinoplasty becomes more complicated with each procedure, and patients should choose a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who specializes in these cases. The nose is a delicate feature and even small changes by the millimeter will create significant changes.
Cosmetic or functional rhinoplasty surgery of the nose usually takes 1½ hours to 2½ hours to perform and may be done either with you asleep under general anesthesia or awake under local anesthesia.
Depending on the reasons for having rhinoplasty, it can be covered by insurance. If the reason is purely cosmetic, it is not covered, but if is it provided to correct breathing issues, then it may be partially covered by your insurance policy. The exact cost you rhinoplasty will be based on what you are trying to achieve and an estimate may be given upon your consultation.
During your rhinoplasty consultation, it is best to ask your plastic surgeon the following questions: Are you Board Certified? How many rhinoplasties do you do a year? Will you make any incisions on the outside of my nose? Do you pack my nose and for how long? When is the cast removed?
Bleeding, Infection, nasal obstruction, undesired result. Speak to a rhinoplasty surgeon specifically about these surgical complications and how they can occur. For patients interested in making subtle changes to the shape of the nose without surgery, Dr. Miller offers a non-surgical nose job option.
