Nice short hike to do while in the area. Although I was definitely pausing to catch my breath, if you're an avid hiker you may find this too easy/short. We went around 11:00, so we didn't necessarily catch a breath taking sunrise/set, but the view was still enjoyable. There are a few parking spots at the foot of the stairs. Check the temperature for the day/time you plan on climbing the stairs and bring water.

Great views from the top. Quote a challenging climb. Only 288, but they're straight up, no switchbacks.

Loved visiting this gorgeous place! The butterflies and view at the top are worth the climb.

If you are looking for an easy hike to a pretty view, this is great. If you're looking to go for a hike in hill country, this is a non-event. It's a set of stone stairs up to a flat top. A good spot for a picnic, or to watch cavorting butterflies, but not much more than that.

Yes, on a leash:)
On the left hand side of the road is parking spots. Across from the stairs.
Yes
No reservations needed. Old Baldy is in a residential area, so parking is very limited.
Yes open, no cost. It's really just a staircase to the top that's about the size of a four-car garage
I did not see that that park closed but there is also no lights on the stairs so be mindful of that. We were going to watch the sunset from up top but thought better of it because it being dark afterwards.
