Tequila's Mexican Restaurant

I don't normally give five stars, because nobody is perfect, . . . however in this case Tequila's is definitely better than the usual very good four stars. The restaurant was more than half full. Service was excellent. They kept us liberally supplied with chips and a good chunky salsa. They delivered our order piping hot from the kitchen on warmed plates in good time. I had the very good house Tequila Burrito. All entres had ample portions. Empty dishes were promptly removed. Staff came by several times to ensure everything was perfect. I have my eye on the Chipotle Burrito for next time.

After visiting Mesa Verde, we decided to have dinner here before going back to the hotel. House Margarita on the rock was very good. We ordered Steak Ranchero and Pollo Nuevo Mexico. Both were delicious. Our waiter and all staff there were very attentive. Very nice dining experience overall.

The margaritas are delicious, highly recommend. The street tacos were authentic and sooo tasty. The bartender was fantastic.

Good authentic mexican food. Sat at the bar and a nice young lady by the name of karen took care of me. All the staff was friendly here. I had the carne asada plate and for 3 more dollars they added a chiken chimichanga. Was not sure if i was gonna finish all that food but rice and beans were so good I made it work. Also had a nice large cold mug of xx. Definitely a place to eat next time im in the lovely town of Cortez.
