There was a lady I had to deal with Ms Johnson was supposedly her name. She lied to me she was extremely rude. I don’t know if she hates her job our she is just a racist. Either way if anyone see’s that name I would ask for someone else. She was simply horrible to deal with. She refused to let me see her supervisor as well. I’m going to contact the Attorney General office, this lady shouldn’t be able to treat people horribly and lie on top of it.

I was worried when we first entered and the security was stern and not friendly. However, once our number was called, Ms. Johnson was friendly and professional. She connected us with Mr. Pentronzi, who was also very friendly and professional. He explained everything to us until we felt like we understood everything completely. He was so patient and I'm so grateful for his attention and help.

As a two time skin cancer fighter, I stood outside (with elderly people) for over 40 minutes in sunny 90 degree weather; just to be turned around when I got inside. I asked to make an appointment because I refuse to stand outside again AND told her why. Lady told me No, not for name change. Suggestion: find another office that has compassion for people with health issues & the elderly.

Yes
Scammer call 24 /7 social security contact you by register mail like IRS so any calls you get are scammers. Report to social security at once give them number and name if you have it. Your Welcome.
Yes you can and also apply online as well
You, either must call and see if you get an appt. dictating if and when you would come in. Otherwise, the other recourse would be to apply ONLINE. The building is, usually, closed to the public.
You go to ssa.gov.
I was told you can use your insurance card as long as it has your name on it. Also a voter registration card. She had other options as well but I didn't need to hear them all since I had the first 2. If you call, they are very helpful and it was a quick call.
So what I call or just go sit and wait, then they say I could had went online
now
Yes, masks must be worn and 12 ppl can enter at a time.
Sorry idk.check the site ssa.gov info should be there.
Yes, You should, It will cut down on the wait time and the Line.
Yes
Yes but there are rules that come with that. I suggest calling and getting details.
In my experience, ALL offices need an appointment. Also, you can only get an appointment with the office for your residence. You can only schedule an appointment by calling that office. You can call the national number to see if you have to have the appointment or if this can be done online.
You cannot. You have to call that office. You cannot even call another office to make an appointment. Start in the morning and call every 10 minutes is my best suggestion.
I had to call the number every 10 minutes until I got through. I got through around 9:20 am if that helps.
You have to call and make an appointment if you want to physically do it . Or you can put all your documents in an envelope and place into the drop boxes. Either way you'll have to wait..I made appointment and got the cards within two weeks
Yes they do inside. You have to call if security not right there and let them know you would like to drop your documents off
They are still closed but you can always get a new one by going on ssa.gov and request a new one if you need a name change you have to fill out the form from the website and go to the office close to you and drop required documents in drop box and they will get back to you within 30 days. You can always call the office also.
Appointment only
The offices are not open for in person services. Most everything can be done on line at ssa.gov
I would recommend either calling the social security administration or going to their website. The office in Chicago Heights is appointment only.
It depends how fast it send out
No, Appointment Only, But You Can Drop Off @ The Drop Off Box From 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
You need to make an appointment in order to be seen.
They operate by appointment, call them and book an appointment
You more certainly can change your name as long as it is changed on everything.
Social security offices are closed. You can apply for a replacement card and receive in 7 to 10 busines days.
The office is closed until further notice. Most things you have to do by phone, mail, or online
you have to make an appointment
Ssa.gov
You can google social security administration and you'll find a number of their central office in Baltimore. But if you're looking for the number of a specific SSA office, then also you'll have to call central office and ask them for it. Because google only gives the phone number of their central office.
The SSA offices are currently closed to the public.
You can do changes in the office or you can set up an appointment and be seen 3 months from now.
It's very easy I've done it before and the card will arrive in a couple of weeks. You will have to set up an account on the site.
You can go on the social security website and do it there
Yes
You better get there when they first open ..I think 8:30 or 9:00 am
Do I need to see a caseworker to reapply for social security, disablably when I was diend.
I know you can request one but unless they've changed it gets mailed to you.
No, you can file for benefits like retirement, Medicare, and or Social Security benefits. To get a birth certificate, you must go to the state of Illinois building in downtown Chicago.
