"THATS NOT TRUE"!!! (Reply to Original comment); "83rd Cottage IS NOT THE SAME UNCLE JOHNS FROM 69TH CALUMET, PERIOD." DIFFERENT PEOPLE/FAMILY(?) ALL TOGETHER. LEONS FROM 83RD COTTAGE "BOUGHT" THE NAME FROM UNCLE JOHNS 69TH CALUMET, CHANGED FROM LEONS TO UNCLE JOHNS(Purchased Name). The OLD MAN, "UNCLE JOHN" L8R PASSED AWAY...BUT THE ORIGINAL CUSTOMER BASE TRIED THE "NEW" UNCLE JOHN ON COTTAGE AND WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. SO MUCH SO, "THAT THE "ORIGINAL" UNCLE JOHN FAMILY(?) DECIDED TO APPEASE ITS "FAN BASE", AND THEN REOPENED, BUT UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME SINCE THE "NAME"...THE "NAME" ONLY HAD BEEN "SOLD"! SO, THEY OPENED UNDER THE NAME."UNC J's" BBQ @ E.47TH ST/VINCENNES! SO, PLS...DONT EVER GET IT TWISTED, "THE ORIGINAL UNCLE JOHNS From 69TH Calumet", is NOW "UNCLE J's" @ 504 E.47TH @VINCENNES. The NEW UNCLE "JOHNS" @ 83RD COTTAGE IS JUST THE NAME, ITS ACTUALLY STILL "LEONS BAR B Q"!! TRIED THEM 3 TIMES AFTER THEY OPENED, THEY WERE "HORRIBLE"...HAVEN'T BEEN BACK SINCE.
The rib tips and hot links are great! The sauce is the bomb digiddiy!
I don't know . . . I like both places!

Good RIBS , Chicken & Fish and get your sweets from DATs Doughnuts , Friendly service 🍽👍🏾🤗
Originally it was the same as the one on 69th street but after a couple years the owners had a dispute. The original owner left (the older brother) and opened another bbq place on 47th and Vincennes. That place is the same as the one on 69th. Some of the same people that worked at 69th are working there now. Go check it out.
They r a six foot distance and mask have to wear a mask
Yes
They don't deliver themselves but they may be on a delivery app like Uber eats GrubHub etc. I'm not really sure.
NO IITS NOT OWNED BY THE SAME OWNER.
I sure hope they are That's the only way imma get some BB,Q.
Idk! Google it!
No! I talked to and read articles about the fight over the name... apparently a family member "took" the name to open his own "Uncle John's" but imho: the one in Homewood is awful (just like when they were in Richton Park). It's too salty, overcooked and the flavor just isn't there. I will never buy from the fake Uncle John's again. I live right by it and I'd rather drive into the city for real Uncle John's!!!!
NO! Please do yourself a favor and Google the couple of articles written about the fight over the name and how they are NOT the same. The Homewood one, imo, is gross...
Good food,, encourages better customer service
You would have to call the restaurant and ask
