I attempted to have someone come to my house for a basement grinder pump repair. I called, scheduled an appointment, was told I could get a call at 2 PM. Never got a phone call, so I called at around 3. They told me someone would call—that never happened, but I did get a text message at 4:37 saying someone would be on their way. I checked the map in the text message link, and it said someone would be at my house in 30 minutes. I checked out the window and the app periodically. Eventually, I saw that it said that the tech had arrived, but no one was at my house. After a few minutes, I called the office, and they said that the tech said he was here, but assumed no one was home because he rang the doorbell (didn't hear anything) and called (didn't receive any calls or voicemails). So, it seems that their techs are dishonest, and they offer very poor follow up. I asked if they had any other techs for today, and they said that they didn't, but that they could look to schedule for tomorrow. Needless to say, I told them that I didn't want to do business with them.

***Update: 6 weeks later and still only have half of our products working. Rose refuses to call back. Filed a complaint with BBB and they won't respond to them either. They only had electrician hook half of it up per work order, so half of our rooms are freezing. Will have to hire an attorney and go to court apparently, the office keeps their problems in house cuz there seems to be no resolution in sight. I'll see them in court. I'll start off by saying installers were great. Very kind and informative. HOWEVER we had our mini split and air movers installed 2 weeks ago, and still waiting on an electrician to come finish the (they didn't tell us there would be such a wait til day of installation, and only cuz we asked) there is also a hole in our ceiling, and we didn't entirely receive the product that was explained to us. Now had ANY part of this been remedied yet I would say no problem, accidents and misunderstandings happen. But I've had to call and call to get any correspondence. Another company even reached out and said home comfort is known for being a mess. I understand electricians are backed up, but the lack of communication is astounding. I shouldn't have to damn near bully them into calling to at least say "Hey, we're working on it" it's looking like I'll get my first bill before I can even use the product. A product they didn't even understand themselves, since it's not what what was explained during TWO consultations. Run as far away from this company as possible. Or get everything in writing before signing any sale or financing. 20k later i learned my lesson

HCE "tried" to fix my Softener, but couldn't & charged me, Twice!! Then they took a H2O sample & said it would take awhile for results. In the mean time someone would contact me about new options. That never happened, left me Hangin with super Hard Water! Dropped the ball on this one Guys!!! Thanks!

Well I have a new opinion of this company now. Very pre-judicial and presumptuous. See below. I have been a client of theirs for several years paying monthly fees into them and occasionally they would sent a service person to service my heating and cooling systems. I also used them for my plumbing. Their service was top notch and very (seemingly) nice and always smiling and friendly personnel. On a most recent visit in July the gentleman told me that he couldn't service my air conditioner because the shrubs around it had grown too big so I promised that I would take care of those for his next visit. Little did I know this hideous individual would go and tell his bosses that there were bugs in my house and as result they quietly stopped service to my house on the premise that there are bugs in my house. I only found out on Friday when I called in to get a plumber to come and look at my garbage disposer which had stopped working. A lady told me that they would not be servicing my house anymore because their guy had told them that there are bugs in my house so they feared for their personnel in my unsafe house. I asked what bugs they were talking about and they said that's what they were told by their guy. If I wanted them to continue service at my house I would have to call in an Exterminating company to come and remove bugs that I have never seen in my house. The question I have is whether this is actually a common thing that Home Comfort Exports actually blacklists houses because there are reports of bugs? As ridiculous as it sounded to me, I still figured let me ask around and see if maybe this is a common practice that, on the word of a single person without any proof whatsoever, one's house gets blacklisted for service. I wonder what kind of bugs (they wouldn't tell me what their person saw) would scare off a plumber that they would be afraid of their lives. I thought plumbers are some of the toughest practitioners in the world who can even brave working underground in sewer pipes with all the rats and stink you would find down there, but they would be afraid of some purported mysterious bugs in my house.
