Very enjoyable overnight stay affordable beautiful pool

Popped in for a planned overnight stop. Office was closed and they have self check in but the owner came down as I was there filling out my paperwork and answered questions I had. Extra $2 per person over 2 people but I knew this ahead of time (I just don't like this type of policy - makes me feel like I'm penalized for having kids). Used a pull thru site that was level and easy to access. Easy, well located hookups. Couldn't seem to get the wifi to work and the owner didn't seem to know why either. I copied the password directly into the access point they said and also tried a couple others that were there. I even tried variations to the password to see if that would work.... Still no luck and the owner response was simply that they didn't understand why. It was an overnight stop, getting late and I didn't care too much about it so I didn't push it further. I think if I had they would have worked something else out, or at least that is my impression. This is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Great campground. Very clean, quiet and beautiful. Nice pool. Owners are very accommodating.

Whispering Pines is nice enough to allow our Cub Scout Pack to use their picnic area for our Halloween pack meeting. There is plenty of room to play games. The fire ring is nice for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.
