I have a long and very favorable relationship with Shure Inc. it's very likely that the first microphone that I ever owned was a Shure. There are many of their products that I could say are my favorites, I would have to say that the SM series of mics is the best and most respected the SM 57 and SM 58's are the live music industry standards. They simply have a strong presence everywhere the world over extremely versatile and rugged if you only owned one mic this would be your best choice. A quick word about wireless; the Shure line of wireless products are outstanding performers and very rugged. If you happen to own a 55s from any era congratulations, and don't let go of it, they are gems.
