Great old throw back theater. Friendly staff, love their popcorn. Extremely reasonable prices.

Exactly what I expected from a small local theater. I wish it was less expensive, but oh well. We would also like to see healthier options such as fat free popcorn.

Very pleasantly surprised at this fairly small local theater. The lobby is clean and bright, with very cute neon art deco signage. Ticket prices were very low, snack prices about average, and the popcorn was fresh and just as good as you would get at any fancy theater. Staff was also friendly and helpful. I was in a smaller theater the first time I went and though it is old-school auditorium seating (not the kind with stairs) the screen was proportioned well to the room and I didn't feel like I was craning my neck or anything. Picture and sound quality were fine, no complaints. Five stars for what it is - which is not a fancy, huge screen, surround sound, lounge chair type experience - I will definitely be back more this summer as it is nice and cheap and clean and cozy.

Theater pricing and facilities are generally good. My major problem is with the selection of movies shown, too many franchise movies, hardly ever any indies. They seem to go out of their way to show bad movies.

Hmm... that's a great question. I have not heard or seen anything in that yet but I can check. Ok. It looks like there are only 2 theaters anywhere in this area playing that movie and Oak Grove 8 isn't one of them .
